Florida congressman Matt Gaetz has been brutally mocked online after debuting a very fresh-faced new look at the Republican National Convention - sparking rumors that he's undergone Botox or surgery.

The 42-year-old raised eyebrows with his raised eyebrows while speaking at the RNC on Wednesday, leaving many wondering if he had gone under the knife. 

Matt, whose career has been marred by scandal, showed off very dramatic brows, plump cheeks, and glowing tan when he stepped out on stage - a drastic change to his usual look. 

Immediately following his appearance, Matt's wrinkle-free face and arched eyebrows became the center of jokes and Botox speculation. 

People on the web flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, to troll the congressman, with his fellow Republican, Rep Derrick Van Orden, even joking that Matt looked akin to a 'sex doll'.

Photos of Matt at the RNC circulated the web with hilarious captions, as many couldn't help but to praise his 'plastic surgeon.' 

Former Navy SEAL Van Orden even took part in the jokes. 

Alongside an unflattering image of Matt, who was last month accused of 'engaging in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use', allegations that he has denied, he teased: 'RNC debuts first AI powered inflatable sex doll to speak at a national convention.' 

Another person added: 'Matt Gaetz looks like the Mario 64 title screen when you pull all the facial features as far back as you can.' 

Someone else compared him to a 'Animorphs cover', while another user said he looked like Robbie from the children's show LazyTown. 

One user then chimed in: 'Matt Gaetz is two white tigers and a life partner [away] from having a Vegas act.' 

Claudia Conway, the daughter of Donald Trump's former counselor, Kellyanne Conway, even joined the fun but joking: 'I thought Matt Gaetz was against drag but it looks like he's warmed up to it.'

Meanwhile another user joked: 'Sorry to disagree with everyone, but I think Matt Gaetz's plastic surgeon did a good job. 

'He enhanced the creepy pedo look that always reflected his true inner self, while still maintaining his face's extreme punchability.' [sic]

Someone else commented: 'Okay I'm MAGA but this is pretty funny.' 

Plastic surgery expert Dr. Michael Salzhauer told the Miami New Times that it appeared as though the congressman had a 'combination of a thread lift and some makeup.'

At the RNC, former President Donald Trump was greeted with chants of 'fight, fight, fight,' as he strode into the Republican convention on Saturday barely two days after surviving an assassination attempt.

The former president wore a bandage on his right ear where the bullet fired by Thomas Matthew Crooks ripped through his skin.

After officially securing his nomination and anointing Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate, Trump arrived for a celebration.

Matt made headlines back in April when Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that he lost his job because he refused to help Matt cover up 'sleeping with a 17-year-old.' 

'I'll give you the truth why I'm not speaker,' Kevin said at a Georgetown University talk entitled 'How Strong Is Our Democracy?'

'It's because one person, a member of Congress, wanted me to stop an ethics complaint because he slept with a 17-year-old,' the California Republican went on. 'Did he do it or not? I don't know.'

Kevin has long accused Matt of launching the historic motion to vacate that ousted him from the speakership last year over an ongoing ethics investigation into his conduct.

Matt shot back to the speaker's accusation on X: 'Kevin McCarthy is a liar. That’s why he is no longer speaker. Just ask the 224 people who voted to remove him.'
