Megyn Kelly has accused Charlize Theron of 'stealing' her 'intimate story' as she branded her 'disgusting' - five years after the actress portrayed the newscaster in the hit film Bombshell.

The 53-year-old media personality has once again taken to the news to slam Hollywood - just one year after she challenged the actress, 49, to come and 'f*** her up.'

Bombshell, which was released in 2019, told the scandalous story of multiple Fox News employees (Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson) who set out expose the man who made them famous, CEO Roger Ailes, for sexual harassment.

In the film, Charlize plays Megyn - who worked at Fox from 2004 to 2017 and was one of the media company's rising stars - and shows the world what went on when the journalist reported the harassment claims.

Having previously referred to the film as extremely 'emotional' and declaring that she would have made 'edits,' the reporter is once again calling out the A-listers behind the flick (Charlize, Margot Robbie and Nicole Kidman) for their roles as she labeled them 'nasty' before sharing her true thoughts about the Hollywood stars.

Megyn - who now works for SiriusXM - took to the air to detail her real feelings about the 'nasty' actress who played her.

She said: 'I think it's just so nasty. Charlize Theron and her friends basically cribbed my entire book for that movie Bombshell and she played yours truly and then on her press tour she went out and she kept dumping on me.

'First of all, you stole my book. You stole my very intimate story and you didn't pay me anything - not that it was for sale - and you took all this time to play this story and you took absolutely no time to actually get to know me and then you decided to spend your whole press tour dumping on me.

'Hollywood is disgusting, just take your f**king award and slink away.'

DailyMail.com has contacted Charlize's representatives for comment.

Bombshell hit theaters in 2019 and quickly took off. Charlize picked up a slew of praise for her portrayal and even garnered the International Star Award at the 2020 at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

The flick itself went on to Producers Guild of America in 2020.

In the past, Megyn called out the actress - who donned various prosthetics to become a dead ringer for the journalist -  for what she said during a press tour for the movie.

'When she went on her media tour to promote the movie, people said to her something like, "Well, Megyn Kelly wasn't the first, she had been harassed by him years earlier and she didn't come out with it until years later."

'And she had the nerve to say, "Megyn Kelly was late to the party. No question…,"' Kelly told journalist Nellie Bowles.

The former Fox anchor issued a stark response to the actress.

She added: '"B***h you weren't even at the party. You'd never f**king came forward with any allegations. I'm sure you were harassed. But you're too p***y-footed to say anything about it. So take a seat." So I was, like, so pissed about it.'

Following the film's release, Megyn revealed that watching the movie was 'an incredibly emotional experience.'

She posted a photo of her son, Thatcher, at a movie theater, as he looked at a Bombshell poster.

'My husband @dougbrunt and I recently took our three kids to see the movie Frozen 2,' Megyn wrote in the image's caption. 'As we walked into the theatre, our 6-year-old stopped at this poster promoting another movie hitting the big screen. The ad confused him because it appears to show a picture of me.'

The poster in question features film stars Charlize, Nicole and Margot. Charlize wore a variety of prosthetic pieces - including fake eyelids - to turn herself into a replicas of the conservative pundit in the movie.

Megyn noted: 'But while the movie Bombshell is loosely based on my experience during the sexual harassment scandal at Fox News, I have nothing to do with this film.

'I did not sell the rights to my story or book and only got my first look at the film once it was past the point of any possible edits, though there are certainly some I would have made.'

Kelly opted not to elaborate on what those changes would have been, but wrote: 'Watching this picture was an incredibly emotional experience for me, and for those with whom I saw it. Sexual harassment is pervasive in this country; it can leave scars that do not heal. My heart goes out to those who've gone through it, who I hope might find some comfort in this story.'

She added: 'As for my thoughts about the film, I'll have more soon.'

Just last year, Megyn once again made it clear that she had issue with the actress by challenging her words.

Megyn Kelly told Charlize to 'come and f*** me up' after the actress vowed to attack anyone who had issues with drag queens.

She left Fox News in January 2017, making her debut at NBC in June of that year, where she was said to earn a reported $15 to $20 million a year

Charlize, who has an 11-year-old transgender daughter Jackson, addressed a 'Drag Isn't Dangerous' telethon to lobby against the mass of legislation currently being debated statewide to curtail trans rights.

The Hollywood A-lister said she would 'f*** up' anyone who is 'trying to f*** with you guys.'

Megyn replied: 'Why doesn't Charlize Theron come and f*** me up?'
