A body language expert has revealed that Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson looked 'distant' and 'unnatural' during their last public outing together - as news emerges that the couple has split.
A source confirmed to DailyMail.com on Friday that the Coldplay singer, 47, and the actress, 34, had called off their engagement after seven years together.
Now, UK-based body language expert Judi James has analyzed the couple's interactions from the final time that they were photographed together, and she sensed some tension between the pair.
The two stars were last seen together during a vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in February.
Photographers caught them splashing in the water and soaking up the sun on the beach.

And while from the outside it looked like they had a great day together, Judi said the Madame Web actress seemed 'distant' from Chris in many of the snaps.
'Dakota's body language makes her look distant in some of these poses, while Chris seems to throw her some looks of concern,' Judi said.
'Their tactile behavior doesn't look easy-going and natural.'
Judi noted that at one point, Chris reached out to try to take Dakota's hand, but she kept it behind her back so he couldn't grab it.
'And when their hands fall together they seem to miss the moment for a clasp,' Judi continued.
When the two stars did finally hold hands, Judi said Dakota seemed resistant.
'When Chris does encase her hand in what looks like a firm, affectionate grip he pulls her hand towards his torso but she seems to maintain the distance between them, stretching her arm out rather than moving closer,' Judi added.
'Dakota's gaze looks distant in some of these photos, while Chris can be seen looking at her face with an expression of what could be concern.'
Judi also explained how their ensembles from the beach date might have posed as another clue to their impending breakup.
'When their hands fall together they seem to miss the moment for a clasp,' Judi noted

The brunette beauty opted for a tight, white, one-piece bathing suit while Chris donned a loose pair of swim trunks.
'Their visuals appear different. Dakota's simple white swimsuit shows off her stunning shape to perfection and she moves with total body confidence,' Judi said.
'Chris seems to have opted for a pair of baggy dad-pants here though, which look less of a romantic statement.'
Rumors first arose that the couple, who started dating in 2017, had split back in May, after Chris gave a ride to a woman fan, who later posted on X that the singer was 'single.'
However, one month later, a source told People that they were still 'going strong,' adding: 'They've had ups and downs, but now they're definitely back on.'
But an insider revealed to DailyMail.com that they did briefly break up earlier this year.

'Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work,' they said.
'They'll always have love for each other but they've both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term.
'They're both busy people, Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments which don't naturally intertwine with each other.
'They wanted it to work but it just hasn't, and they've now accepted it is best to move on.'
