Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel share private family holiday photos with Estelle and Oscar (and even Rio the cavapoo makes an appearance!)

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel have shared rare family holiday photos with their children Estelle and Oscar.

The royal couple - who have been married 14 years - did not specify where exactly they went with their young family but hinted they remained in Sweden this summer.

The Royal Family's Instagram caption read: 'Summer is short, but there is still time to enjoy sunny August days around Sweden.

'Here the Crown Princess family shares some private photographs from the past summer holiday.'

The accompanying Instagram Reel opened with a photo of the family-of-four posing on a balcony in front of a sunset.

The future Queen, 47, cut a casual figure in low-rise jeans, a white ribbed cardigan and trainers.

Meanwhile, Daniel, 50, looked equally relaxed in grey jeans and a navy-and-white Varsity jacket.

The Reel then jumps to a photo of Victoria posing for a photo with Oscar, eight, while they visiting some ruins.

The mother-of-two - who was wearing a Levi denim jacket and jeans - is pictured cuddling her son as they beam at the camera.

The post also included a selfie of Victoria, Estelle, 12, and the family's cavapoo - which is a mix between a poodle and King Charles spaniel - on a beach.

The future Queen looked casual for the dog walk in a navy sweatshirt and swept her hair back into a ponytail like her daughter.

The Reel also included several photos of the family picking fruit and vegetables - with Victoria posing for a selfie with a jug full of hand-picked blueberries while her children gathered peppers.

The final family photo shows Crown Princess Victoria curled up in a blanket with her two children and Rio as a lantern flickers behind them.

The post has amassed over 77,000 'likes' within 24 hours and royal fans gushed over the more candid images.

One wrote: 'Wonderful!! I'm glad to see these "everyday pictures" of an otherwise so watched family. Nice that they get to live a little "ordinary" too.'

'Beautiful,' another added: 'Such a happy family!'

Meanwhile, a third said:'The sweetest family ever!!!'

A fourth added: 'You are a fantastic family and equally fantastic representatives of Sweden.'

Earlier this year, it was announced that Crown Princess Victoria would be completing more military training.

The training is part of preparations for her future role as head of state, the Royal Court said in a statement in April.

'The Crown Princess will during autumn 2024 begin special officer training to acquire a deeper understanding of tactics, military science and military strategy,' it said.

The course involves both theoretical and practical learning. Sweden joined NATO in March, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine forced it to rethink its national security policy.
