For those determined to continue working out from the comfort of the living room post-lockdown, Aldi is set to launch an affordable home air rowing machine as part of an upcoming Special Buys sale. 

To take on competitors that sell similar exercise machines from anywhere between $500 and $2500, the budget chain store will retail the rower for only $349.

From Saturday June 13, fitness fanatics across the country will be able to get their hands on the new equipment - but only while stock lasts.

After the company posted an entertaining advertisement to the Aldi Australia Facebook page, hundreds of shoppers commented and shared their excitement.

'I need this!!' one customer said, another added: 'I should buy one - I love the rower so much.'

'Not a bad price!' a third said.

The air rower features eight levels of resistance to increase or decrease the intensity of a workout and target different body parts - such as the back, hamstrings or abs.

When set on a higher level, the fan resistance increases to provide a natural rowing feel as if you were gliding across water.

It also has a computer screen to view the time, distance, calories burnt and strokes per minute.

The aluminium glide rail also makes little noise when in use to ensure others within the home aren't disturbed.

The product has the ability to fold away neatly to be stored and comes with a 12 month warranty. 

During the Special Buys, Aldi will be selling other fitness products including $19.99 women's and men's sneakers, a puffer vest and assorted resistance bands for $7.99.
