ARio de Janeiro school principal was dragged down the street after she asked a driver to move from a school parking spot.
Surveillance footage from the June 18 was released to the public for the first time Thursday and shows the driver of a SUV parked near the school sidewalk before Raquel Schwab walked over.
The driver places the car on reverse and briefly stops as Schwab engages the woman behind the steering wheel in a conversation over the parking rules.
The principal can be seen talking to the woman for about 45 seconds before she slowly starts to pull away.
The driver accelerates as Schwab hangs on to the door with her hand stuck in the window and is nearly struck by a vehicle coming down the opposite lane.

She then crashes to the ground as her husband runs over to help her. Somehow, he was also able to prevent the driver from escaping.
Schwab told Brazilian news outlet G1 that she has asked the driver to move, but decide to disregard her request.
'I spoke to her from the backyard twice, and she pretended she couldn't hear me, so I left,' she explained. 'She seemed nervous and partially rolled down the window. I stood in front of her and rested my hand on the window.'
To prevent from being hit by the incoming car and falling to the ground, Schwab said that she tried to move her feet to the pace of the car.
'Instead of slowing down, she sped up. It was a shocking situation for those who saw it,' she said.

The school principal was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she received stitches for a head injury and was diagnosed with a fracture foot
Schwab hit her head on the ground and briefly lost consciousness.
She was rushed to Evander Freire Hospital, where she was treated for a fracture foot. She was also left with visible bruises on her body and had to receive multiple stitches on her head.
The incident sidelined Schwab from her principal duties for several weeks.
'Even though I was worried about what could happen, I had to go back. At no point did she (the driver) worry or ask how I was recovering,' she said.
'It was a trauma for me and my family. I couldn't even take a shower by myself, and I still have difficulty moving around.'
