Trump's would-be assassin Thomas Crooks' big sister is revealed to be 'really friendly' and 'hardworking' as neighbors describe how her 'scrawny' brother helped her move in

Neighbors of Donald Trumps' shooter Thomas Crooks' big sister have described her as 'really friendly' and 'hardworking', as they described how her 'scrawny' brother helped her move into her apartment.

A neighbor of Katie Crooks, Thomas' older sister, spoke about how the woman, who juggles two jobs, moved into the apartment building in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, three years ago, with the help of her brother.

Speaking to New York Post, the unnamed neighbor said: 'The person who helped her, I couldn't tell if it was a male or a female.

'A couple of days later I asked if it was one of her siblings and she said it was her brother. The one who shot Trump… He was real scrawny.'

He added that Katie was a 'real go-getter' who worked as a janitor at a local high school, as well as a server at a restaurant.

She was also described as a 'real friendly' and a 'nice girl'.

'I couldn't say a bad word about her', the neighbor added.

Like her brother, Katie is a registered Republican, but their father is a registered Libertarian.

She was also reportedly seen exiting her red Hyundai Kona on Monday night and bringing luggage into the Crooks' family home in Bethel Park.

Since Saturday's assassination attempt, in which Thomas opened fire at former president Trump while he addressed the crowd in Butler, Pennsylvania, Thomas' family have largely kept out of the public eye.

Thomas' father, Matthew, 53, was seen for the first time on Monday since his son was shot dead by a sniper after he attempted to assassinate Trump.

He was pictured at the modest three-bedroom family home in Bethel Park while federal investigators visited at the beginning of this week.

Clearly exhausted, his eyes showing the strain and the trauma of the past few days, Crooks opened the door to several members of the FBI who entered the unassuming brick home shortly before ten o’clock.

It was barely 48 hours since the Crooks family’s world was torn apart with the shocking events of Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to CNN in the immediate aftermath of his son’s identification, Matthew, who works as a licensed behavioral therapist specializing in rehabilitation, appeared completely at a loss as he struggled to make sense of what he had just been told.

Reached by the network late Saturday night, he said he was still trying to figure out ‘what the hell is going on', but said he would ‘wait until I talk to law enforcement’ before speaking about his son.

He and the rest of the shooter’s immediate family have not spoken publicly since. Crooks’s mother, Mary Elizabeth, 53, is also a behavioral therapist.

Crooks is believed to have used an AR-15 purchased by his father some six months earlier and both men are understood to have been members of Clairton Sportsmen’s Club in Clairton, Pennsylvania.

FBI agents visited with the Crooks family for a matter of minutes before proceeding to work their way up and down the neighborhood speaking with residents.

According to a bio by Matthew when he registered a coat of arms, he was born in Pittsburgh and his father had owned a barber shop while his mother was an accountant.

Near neighbors were asked to leave their homes as it was reported that explosives and other items were removed from both Crooks's van and his family home.

Crooks had parked the vehicle near the rally site in Butler on Saturday before he scaled the roof of a nearby industrial manufacturing building.
