Ladarius Morshun Brownlee, 28, was taken into custody in the early morning hours of July 5, after he allegedly confessed to shooting his girlfriend Seyeddah 'Zahra' Hashemi, 28, who police found lying in the road with life-threatening injuries.

Brownlee is now facing one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and thee counts of deadly conduct, according to the Dallas Morning News.

He is being held on a bond of $900,000 - as TikTok users comb through their videos on the popular @denoandzahra page, pointing out signs it may have been an abusive relationship.

In one video that is now circulating on X, Brownlee could be seen apparently putting Hashemi in a chokehold as she tells him to 'get out of my video.

'I do not like you,' she says.

'Go to sleep,' Brownlee says as he continues to hold his arms around her neck.

'No, you go to sleep,' she replies as she starts hitting him.

Brownlee then appears to walk away, but when he comes back in the frame, Hashemi tells him: 'Deno, I will literally whoop your a**.'

At that point, Brownlee puts her back in a chokehold, saying, 'Go to sleep, go to sleep.'

In an apparent effort to get out of his grip, she starts punching him.

Then after she apparently injures her hand, Hashemi bites him.

'Aiight, aiight,' he says, and pushes her away.

'That's what I thought,' Hashemi replies, as he walks away.

Another video posted on May 30 shows the couple apparently arguing about their relationship status, with Hashemi visibly irritated before she tells Brownlee, 'I'm in love with you.'

And in a third video, posted on May 27, Hashemi claimed her boyfriend 'wanted to wake up grumpy.'

'I don't know why you want to wake up with a bad attitude,' she tells him.

He tells her to 'stop talking to me' and leans in close to her, still in bed, which she said gave her an attitude.

'Who cares?' Brownlee asked.

'Me, I care,' she replies.

He then asks why him having a bad attitude caused her to have a bad attitude.

'Because you have an attitude, so it's so freaking annoying because when I stay calm and I'm nice to you and I'm kind to you, you just want to get meaner and meaner.'

At first, he denies that he gets increasingly angrier, but as she keeps saying he is getting 'meaner,' he tells her to 'get the f*** out.'

'Don't tell me what to do,' Hashemi snaps back.

'I tell whoever the f*** I want to to do whatever the f*** I want to,' he replies.

Hashemi then pleads for him to 'lose your attitude,' claiming, 'you're grumpy for no reason.'

But Brownlee, instead, claims that she is the one who is being grumpy.

'No, I'm not grumpy, you're annoying,' Hashemi retorts.

That seemed to only infuriate Brownlee further, saying: 'I see, get out of my house!'

'No, get out of my room,' she replies.

'I'm sick of this s***,' Brownlee says as the video comes to an end.

'Sick of what?' Hashemi asks.

'I'm sick of you and I... every damn day,' he says, before claiming he just needs a vacation.

Witnesses now say the couple's relationship was tumultuous and physically violent.

Those who were with Hashemi and Brownlee on the Fourth of July said they got into an argument as they were leaving a fireworks show that night.

At some point, the fight turned physical and Brownlee ordered Hashemi to get into the back of his 2024 Chevrolet Blazer SUV, WFAA reports.

'The occupants of the vehicle relayed to officers that while driving away from the location, Hashemi and Brownlee continued arguing,' an affidavit obtained by the local news station said.

He then allegedly drove less than three miles from the park before stopping the car.

At that point, police claim he brandished a gun at the passengers in the rear of the vehicle and shot Hashemi right above her right eye.

Brownlee then allegedly confessed to shooting his girlfriend in a 911 call, and confessed again during a police interrogation.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Hashemi lying in the road outside of the vehicle with life-threatening injuries, and she was transported to a local hospital.

In an update on Tuesday, Hashemi's sister wrote that she is 'awake and stable' - though she noted there will be 'a long recovery ahead.'

'It has been tough, but with everyone's prayer, she is truly a miracle,' her sister, Sara, wrote on Instagram.

'A week and a half ago, the doctors and detectives told us to say goodbye, and today, she is awake, sitting up and took her first steps.'

Sara noted that the family does not want to 'release any information about what happened in my sister's relationship without her explicit approval.'

'We understand everyone is curious, but we have not released any information and would like to keep it private and limit any communication to the news outlet[s] or people outside the family,' she wrote.

'Thank you for everyone reaching out and praying for my sister and our family. We appreciate everyone understanding.'
