Donald Trump shot back an agitated response when asked if he is concerned about the crowds showing up for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The former president said the 'honeymoon period' will soon end as he lamented that the media refuses to acknowledge the impressiveness of his audience sizes.

'Oh, give me a break,' Trump exhaled during a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Thursday before thanking the reporter for giving him a chance to tout how many supporters go to his rallies.

He insisted that there are up to 30 times more people at his campaign stops than at those for the vice president and if he garnered her crowds people would say his campaign is 'over.'

The press conference comes as the Trump team continues to hit Harris for her refusal to speak with the media since entering the presidential race last month.

In the 18 days after announcing, Harris has not taken a single question from the media, sat down for a single interview or held a single press conference – leading to questions on how she will perform off script.

Meanwhile, Trump thinks media outlets are trying to turn Harris into a media darling and has deployed his vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance to go after her for refusing to speak with reporters.

'Listen, I had 107,000 people in New Jersey, you didn't report it. I'm so glad you asked, what does she have in your city? 2,000 people? If I ever had 2000 people, you'd say my campaign is finished,'

'It's dishonest – the press,' Trump alleged. 'And here's a great example. I had in Michigan recently, 25,000 people and 25,000 people we just couldn't get them in. We had in Harrisburg, 20–25,000 people, and 20,000 people couldn't get in. We had so many – nobody ever mentions that.'

'And when she gets 1,500 people – and I saw it yesterday on ABC, they say, 'oh the crowd was so big' – I have 10 times 20 times, 30 times the crowd size,' Trump said. 'And they never say the crowd was big. That's why I'm always saying, turn around the cameras.'

'I'm so glad you asked that.'

But Trump says the biggest crowd he ever spoke to was those gathered in Washington, D.C. on January 6 to hear him speak during certification of the 2020 presidential election results.

The former president claimed his crowd was as big as those attracted by Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. – but said he was fine if people said the assassinated leader had more than him because he respects him.

'The biggest crowd I've ever spoken to was that day, and I'll tell you, it's very hard to tell.

It's the biggest crowd I've ever spoken to and I've spoken to the biggest crowds. Nobody spoke to crowds bigger than to me,' Trump told reporters at his Florida golf club.

'When we look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same everything, same number of people, if not we had more,' he said. 'And they said he had a million people, but I had 25,000 people.'

'My crowd, we actually had more people,' he continued. 'They said I had 25,000 and he had a million people, and I'm okay with it, because I liked Dr. Martin Luther King.'

Earlier on Thursday morning, Trump posted on his Truth Social account that Harris 'pays' for people to show up at her campaign events.
