They were Love Island's golden couple - the reality TV lovers who first met in a hot tub and fans of the ITV show genuinely believed would be together forever.

With millions in the bank, a beautiful baby girl and all the trappings of an A-List lifestyle including a mansion and private jet holidays, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury had it all.

On paper they couldn't have been much different. Tommy, from a tough background in the travelling community - and Molly-Mae, an ambitious fashionista from a middle class home in the Home Counties. But in their social media bubble over the past five years, they always looked happy to their 13.4million combined followers.

So imagine the shock as yesterday the Gen-Z prince and princess of reality TV announced they had split up, before allegations emerged of the boxer cheating with multiple women.

'Never in a million years did I think I'd write this', Molly-Mae said last night - and most fans of the couple had also thought the same.

A glittering big-budget wedding was planned and just last month Tommy shared a beautiful picture of his daughter Bambi and his wife-to-be smiling at a friend's wedding with the caption: 'My everything in a photo'.

Their Insta followers lapped it up - although today comments on the same post have turned sour, with one former fan berating him: 'Fight for her, fight for your family. Be a man'.

The split shatters the 'perfect' life they presented to millions on Instagram, after cracks appeared this year amid rumours of Tommy being increasingly absent and tension over his partying. she 'doesn't know where he is going', one source said recently.

In news that devastated fans, Molly-Mae shared the shocking news that she and Tommy had split after five years together in August 2024

One unnamed insider with a link to the couple told MailOnline today that they had drifted apart - and suggested that Tommy's increasing personal bank balance over the past year with more big money projects on the way could be a factor in the split.

One unnamed insider with a link to the couple told MailOnline today that they had drifted apart - and suggested that Tommy's increasing personal bank balance over the past year with more big money projects on the way could be a factor in the split.

'Tommy had increasingly seen himself as the rising star in the relationship', the source said.

PR gurus had told MailOnline recently that they expected Tommy's earnings to hit £10million by 2025, compared to £6million for Molly-Mae.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury first met on the fifth series of Love Island.

She was already a well-known face on Instagram amongst teenagers and Gen-Zers - but Tommy admitted himself that he was only on Love Island because Tyson Fury is his brother. He also revealed he'd never even seen the show before he took part and almost won.

Romance blossomed, with Tommy often seen cuddling up to her. She attempted to keep the liaison neutral, and some viewers took a dislike to her for lying to her housemates over their relationship.

Eventually, she confessed to one: ‘Obviously we’ve been doing bits [sleeping together]. I’ve denied, denied it, denied it. And I know that as soon as he cracks a smile, that’s it.’

After hitting off immediately, a battle for Tommy's affections began and the following day, Molly-Mae chose to couple up with Tommy.

The duo later got locked in a love triangle with Anton Danyluk, while Molly-Mae also expressed interest in late arrival Danny Williams.

Her union with Tommy proved too strong however and Molly-Mae looked to have chosen Tommy before drama stuck again.

Things went on to shaky ground when Molly-Mae's now best friend Maura Higgins entered the villa and set her sights on Tommy. Despite divulging that the hunky boxer gave her 'fanny flutters', his heart stayed with Molly-Mae.

As well as her advances being rejected, Maura faced further plight when media regulator Ofcom received 486 complaints regarding the unwanted sexual advances she launched on to Tommy with her persistent attempts at bedding the star

They became runners-up on the show, and Molly-Mae was dismayed to discover when they left the villa that she had been a ‘hate figure’.

Inside the villa, Tommy asked Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend by pinning a note on her beloved teddy 'Ellie Belly'. After this, they enjoyed a steamy night in the Hideaway.

Fast forward to Day 58, Tommy and Molly-Mae were crowned the runner-ups of the season, while now-exes Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were victorious.

In an interview Molly-Mae said she was ‘shocked’ not to win because to her mind they were ‘the obvious winners’.

Maybe, she said, they had come across as ‘too perfect’.

Despite this 'too perfect' criticism, their relationship has almost entirely been played out on social media.

For example, Tommy’s proposal of marriage, in July 2023, featured thousands of roses, a huge diamond ring, a video team and Molly-Mae’s favourite singer, flown out to Ibiza as part of the ‘surprise’.

After leaving the villa Hertfordshire-native Molly-Mae and Tommy vowed to move in together and temporarily rented a home in Tommy's native Manchester before moving to a stunning three-bed apartment

Tommy and Molly-Mae became official just weeks after their first villa date and moved in together in Manchester a month after landing back in the UK.

Many, including themselves, said this was the first genuine love match on Love Island.

At the time, boxer Tommy revealed the pair set up home in the north-west. He told The Sun: 'We're both really happy. We've bought an apartment in Manchester and we're going to move in together.

'We haven't said a cross word to each other, ever. We don't have arguments. There's no hassle, we're just laid back. Whatever's meant to be in life, is meant to be.'

After a blissful few years in the flat, during which they frequently shared videos and images of their swanky abode and wildly lavish belongings, the couple were left terrified when they were victims of an £800,000 burglary.

At around 10pm on Thursday 21 October, while the influencer and boxer were in London at her Beauty Works Christmas launch, an 'experienced gang' targeted their flat in Hale, Manchester and stole the vast quantity of goods.

Sources revealed to MailOnline that the couple will 'never return' to the property after being left 'extremely shaken up' and terrified by the crime.

The insider said: 'They will never return back to their apartment again unfortunately they feel they have been targeted and don't feel safe there any more. They really loved living there its a shame they have been forced out of their home.'

While Molly Mae and Tommy partied in London, the gang descended on their block of flats, in which there are five other properties.

An insider detailed: 'It seems to be an experienced gang who know what they’re doing as they have had machinery and waited for Molly and Tommy to be away...

'They have approached the property from the rear and smashed through their balcony windows and doors to gain access to their apartment. There is five apartments in the block but other neighbours were out too...

'They have stolen approx 800k worth of belongings leaving them with nothing left other than what they had on them in their suitcases in London on the night of event..

'Molly was pictured that night when the robbery happened at her Beauty Works x Molly Mae event in London. They seemed to have got scared off and departed quickly possible across the park at the back. It’s called Halecroft Park.'

In the wake of the incident, a representative for Molly told MailOnline: 'Molly is doing well considering the circumstances. It has been a very distressing time but she is trying to be as positive as possible'.

The couple were then forced to move into a high-security rented apartment.

In March 2022, the smitten couple also purchased a £4million six-bedroom home in affluent Cheshire. It boasts a luxurious contemporary design, 5,000 sq ft of land, and a tranquil garden.

Molly revealed the move by launching a new social media profile on Instagram called Molly Maison, where she plans to document more of her personal life and gives an inside glimpse into their dream home.

Molly snapped up the Cheshire residence before it went on the market and she now has the likes of England footballers Marcus Rashford, 24, and Jordan Pickford, 28, as neighbours.

Molly's abode, which has recently been refurbished, has a grand entrance complete with double front doors, marble flooring, and an elegant staircase.

The house has six spacious bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, the main boasting his and hers sinks, and a large living space, where Molly and Tommy will no doubt relax of an evening while watching their favourite Harry Potter films.

In late January 2023, Molly-Mae and Tommy welcomed a baby girl.

Representatives for Molly-Mae told MailOnline: 'Molly and Tommy feel so blessed to have welcomed a healthy baby girl in to their family on the 23rd of January 2023.

'They are enjoying every moment. Molly and baby are both doing well.'

The new parents also shared a collection of sweet snaps to their respective social media pages, with Molly-Mae penning: 'I can't believe we get to keep you forever'.

Sharing one picture of herself cuddling into the newborn, Molly-Mae wrote: 'One week old today❤️ I can't believe we get to keep you forever.

'Becoming your mum has been one of the best things to ever happen to me... it doesn't seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment.

'There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes. Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents.

She concluded: 'We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever.'

In news that devastated fans, Molly-Mae shared the shocking news that she and Tommy had split after five years together.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote: 'Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.

'After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.

'I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

'I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.

'I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all.

Molly-Mae will be taking a step back from social media and work commitments as she attempts to come to terms with life without Tommy.

She added: 'Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x'

Just under an hour later, Tommy broke his silence on the split, penning on his Instagram Stories: 'I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.

'The past 5 years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.

'Please respect our privacy, and our families privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.'

Before Love Island Molly-Mae was studying at London’s Fashion Retail Academy.

But she decided to post pictures of herself on social media and brands started contacting her as she morphed into an influencer.

Molly moved from Hertfordshire to Manchester, close to fast fashion brands Pretty Little Thing and Boohoo. Soon she was earning triple what her friends were making in fashion roles but said it wasn’t as effortless as it appeared.

‘It’s not an easy job. You’re constantly on the go, and you can’t ever really take a day off because you always have to be that person people aspire to be,’ she said.

Already an influencer before joining the show, Molly-Mae amassed 7.8 million Instagram followers and landed a six-figure deal when she signed with fast fashion chain PLT in 2019 to become their creative director.

Molly-Mae has made £1.2million in profits via her company MMH Group Holdings and £848,000 from her self-tanning business Filter.

She added to her cash pot with her memoir released back in June 2022 - Becoming Molly-Mae - which sold at a cost of £20 and bulked up her fortune by £2million during the pandemic.

Describing her life in business, she said in 2022:  ‘I just think you’re given one life and it’s down to you what you do with it… When I’ve spoken about that before I have been slammed with people saying, “It’s easy for you to say that… you’ve not grown up in poverty....so for you to sit there and say we all have the same 24 hours in the day is not correct.” Technically, what I’m saying is correct. We do.

‘I understand that obviously we all have different backgrounds... and we do have different financial situations, but I think if you want something enough you can achieve it and it just depends to what lengths you want to go to get where you want to be in the future. I’ll go to any length. I’ve worked my absolute a*** off to get to where I am now.’

After taking maternity leave following the birth of their daughter Bambi in January 2023, she announced in June last year that she was stepping away from her role as creative director of fast fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, saying that this ‘amazing chapter’ of her life had ‘naturally come to an end’.

She still has a deal to wear their clothes, and it was announced earlier this year that she has become one of L’Oreal’s spokesmodels. Heady stuff, considering that Kendall Jenner, Helen Mirren and Eva Longoria are also brand ambassadors.

She has also published a memoir, and rakes in a huge amount of money via Instagram posts, despite frequent criticism of their ‘beige’ aesthetic. She has a self-tan range, Filter by Molly-Mae.

Tommy left the villa with very little in terms of cash - but this all changed when they got together.

In fact his boxing matches and fashion deals have outstripped Molly-Mae's, some claimed.

Tommy earned £1.1million to fight KSI  - but he had been expected to net another £5million from spin-offs including fitness plans and even a Netflix series.

He has several more boxing bouts in him, with experts claiming that wih pay-per-view, it could be worth £4million per fight for him.

He’s planning to release his own autobiography, entitled Lightning Can strike Twice, a reference to his fame alongside brother Tyson’s.

He’s also set to star in a low-budget gangster film, announced this month in Cannes.

Fury, who had his first child Bambi with Miss Hague in January last year, settled his grudge match with Jake Paul in February after winning a split decision in Saudi Arabia in front his half-brother Tyson, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder with millions watching on pay-per-view (PPV).

Fury reportedly received a £1.6million ($2m) purse - and 35 per cent of the PPV money. In total, the 24-year-old earned £3.7million ($4.5m). Paul's fight purse was £2.6million ($3.2m) - but he will also take 65 per cent of the pay-per-view money, taking his overall prize money to £7.1million ($8.6m) even though he lost.
