Colorado Republican Rep. Brandi Bradley is shaming her fifteen-year-old son's school for teaching kids that the Mona Lisa was a 'self portrait' by 'gender fluid' Leonardo Da Vinci.

Bradley took to X to share an audio recording of a conversation she had with her son's art teacher in which the school defended the position.

She fumed that she didn't want her son being taught about gender fluidity, and asked why such an issue was injected into the curriculum.

'My [15 year old's] HISTORY teacher told her students that Leonardo DaVinci was gender fluid and that the Mona Lisa was a depiction of his feminine side. WTAH?????

'And tonight is back to school night and she has no idea what kind of mama bear is coming for her,' the post read.

The mother of four is a vocal critic of teaching kids about gender confusion and sexuality in the classroom.

In the voice memo, the teacher explained that the class had watched a movie on Friday in which the featured scholar's discussed Da Vinci's sexual orientation and speculated that he was gay - a long-held belief among art historians.

Nowhere in the history books does it suggest that Da Vinci identified as a woman or was gender 'fluid'.

'The main purpose of [this lesson] was to [show] the difference between the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance,' the teacher said.

'The Renaissance was self-expression of these artists.

'They weren't limited or restricted by the church and what the church was dictating they do. They had the opportunity to create however they wanted and express themselves fully.'

The teacher added that the topic of gender fluidity came up in class after a student inquired about the term's meaning.

She also said the content was approved by Douglas County and was intended to illustrate the self-expression and freedom of artists during the Renaissance.

Art historians have long speculated about Da Vinci's sexuality as the Renaissance artist was never married and was accused of engaging in sodomy with his 17-year-old apprentice
While, the androgynous nature of Leonardo's figures has long been noted, scholars have only speculated and not confirmed the theory that the Mona Lisa was a self portrait

The teacher explained that historians originally believed the Mona Lisa was commissioned by the family of Lisa Giocondo, the painting's subject, but 'recent scholars are saying it was most likely a self portrait.'

Bradley responded: 'I don't know that I want my 15 year old knowing what gender fluidity is. We have a very biblical worldview, and I see a lot of LGBTQ flags [in the classroom], and I wonder how inclusive my Christian conservative child feels in this room.'

The teacher assured Bradley them that the classroom is meant to be a safe and welcoming space for all students, regardless of their personal beliefs.

In a follow up X post, Bradley stood by her convictions, calling out users who disagreed with her viewpoints.

'I will not tolerate people in authority, who are supposed to be trusted adults LYING TO CHILDREN,' her post read. 'Gender fluid does not exist, boys cannot be girls, girls cannot be boys and if you say they can, you are solely responsible for sending CHILDREN down a road of false narratives, fake science, and lies.'

The mother of four has been outspoken about how children should not learn about gender identity and sexual orientation as its forcing a liberal agenda on impressionable youth

'A line in the sand has been drawn. If YOU want to choose that path for your children, go right ahead, but what YOU will not do is choose that path for MY children or other people’s children.'

In an interview with DailyMail.com, Bradley emphasized that not all teachers are straying from curriculum,' and that she is only frustrated with teachers 'that push their personal beliefs on to students rather than teaching the facts.'

She did not name the teacher or reveal where her son goes to school.
