Fans have been left baffled after Romania star Ianis Hagi wore a netting on his head during his side's clash with Netherlands. 

The Rangers star started once again as the Tricolours' suffered a 3-0 defeat in the  Euro 2024 last-16 clash. 

The 25-year-old's evening got off to an unfortunate start when he collided with Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries in an attempt to win the ball. 


Hagi's head started to bleed after it was struck by Dumfries' elbow and he received medical treatment before returning to the pitch wearing a bizarre net. 

And fans took to social media to make fun of the midfielder, with some comparing him to school 'dinner ladies'.

Hagi failed to make a significant impact against the Netherlands and was substituted off after 71 minutes. 

Ronald Koeman's men secured their place in the quarter-finals with an impressive 3-0 win at the Allianz Arena. 

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring after 20 minutes and then turned provider for Donyell Malen, who finished from close-range seven minutes from time. 

The Borussia Dortmund forward then sealed the emphatic win with his second goal of the match in the dying seconds.
