We are used to Rodri making Premier League midfields play to his tune on the football pitch but the Manchester City and Spain star has been showing his proficiency to do the same from the DJ booth this summer.

The 28-year-old has been celebrating Spain's European Championships win on the back of another Premier League title with City in recent weeks and took to the decks to entertain guests at the latest Bresh party in Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza.

Bresh parties have become the latest trend for high profile footballers and Latin music stars across the globe since they hosted the Argentina team's World Cup winning event in 2022 with Spanish singer Rosalia.

The idea behind them is to provide a safe family-friendly atmosphere and they proved such a hit with Lionel Messi that they host one every Friday in Miami where the Argentina captain, Inter Miami teammate Luis Suarez and their partners have been spotted on more than one occasion.

Over the past year, Bresh have brought events to Manchester, London, New York, Madrid and Barcelona - attracting leading stars such as Liverpool pair Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister and Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez

Bresh are back in London on Saturday following today's Community Shield match between United and City, at Studio 338, in Greenwich, where more personalities and football faces are expected to attend.

Manchester City will be out to undo the heartache of their FA Cup final defeat by city rivals Manchester United at Wembley later today.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Rodri, nor England trio John Stones, Kyle Walker and Phil Foden will not be available for today's match following the Euro 2024 final.

The Spanish manager said in a press conference on Friday ahead of the match that the European finalists will return next week ahead of their opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea.

'We try to give them the best rest as possible as much as possible. We would like more time but it is what it is, we gave them a lot,” Guardiola said.

'All the players came back, the England players and Rodri will come back next week.

'What we like to give them is what it is, don’t think about the schedule.

Rodri made a whopping 50 appearances for City across all competitions last season, before going on to feature in all but one of Spain's Euro 2024 matches.

Guardiola also spoke on his side's hunt for a new midfielder during the summer transfer window, with Matteo Kovacic likely to fill in for Rodri in the No 6 role during today's clash.

He implied that City will wait until the end of the summer window to sign a player who can suitably cover for Rodri.

'We will see the chances at the end of the market, if a club needs to sell more than now for example, so I don’t know,' the Spanish coach said.

'Maybe a holding midfielder who can play central defender or a central defender who can play in the position of Rodri.’
