Machine Gun Kelly throws WILD first pitch at Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago Cubs - and fans rip him: 'If trying too hard was a sport'

Famous rapper Machine Gun Kelly threw a wild first pitch before the Cleveland Guardians played the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.

MGK's effort was so bizarre that fans have ripped him online for not following baseball tradition.

Before every Major League Baseball game, a celebrity or person from the local community goes out to the mound to toss a ceremonial first pitch.

Usually, the toss goes near the plate and somewhat resembles what pitchers do on a daily basis.

Machine Gun Kelly fakes to throw the pitch over the plate before getting off the mound and chucking the ball into the crowd above the third-base dugout.

'If trying too hard was a sport,' one baseball fan said on social media.

'That was actually horrible and not funny!' another Guardians fan stated.

'Angel Hernandez would have called it a strike,' a MLB fan said, poking fun at the controversial retired umpire.

'Dude is such a loser how does he have a platform,' a baseball fan concluded.

Kelly is from the Cleveland area in nearby Shaker Heights. He detailed his plan for the first pitch on 'MGK DAY' at the stadium.

'I had a plan, I'm either going for a 92 mile per hour curveball... but I think another plan has stepped into my brain,' Machine Gun Kelly said. 'I'll just keep you guessing.'

Whether Kelly was referring to his plan to chuck the ball into the Progressive Field stands, or if it changed again, is unknown.

The move did bring the Guardians good luck, as they defeated the Cubs 2-1.
