Super Bowl winner files for divorce from Kim Kardashian's bestie after 13 years of marriage

Super Bowl winner Bobby McCray has filed for a divorce from his wife of 13 years, Khadijah Haqq.

McCray and Haqq agreed to split last year but according to TMZ, McCray filed to officially end the marriage on Friday.

McCray, 43, apparently refers to the date of the separation as July 7, 2023 in the documents, citing irreconcilable differences.

Haqq, who is a close friend of Kim Kardashian, posted a couple of pictures on her Instagram on Thursday with cryptic caption: 'The comeback is greater than the setback.'

The couple apparently met in a club and got married in 2010 in Los Angeles.

They had three children together and McCray is reportedly asking for joint legal and physical custody.

Haqq first announced the split last year in a social media statement that said: 'Now more than ever I have been relying on prayer. Family is so important to me.

'Unfortunately, life has brought me to a tremendous transition. After 13 years of marriage, 16 years together and 4 incredible children, I have come to the intensely difficult conclusion that while Bobby and I have a great deal of love for one another it’s best we move forward, separately.

'I share this not because I believe it’s newsworthy but so that we go about our lives with honesty and to begin the journey of co-parenting. I’m so grateful for my incredible support system.'

McCray played seven seasons in the NFL as a defensive end and was a part of the New Orleans Saints team that won the Super Bowl in 2010, beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17.

After playing for the Florida Gators, McCray was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2004 Draft.

He was traded to the Colts in 2008 where he won the Super Bowl two years later in Miami.
