The official photos released of sports stars ahead of the Olympics have been compared to mugshots.

Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Andy Murray, Rafa Nadal and Iga Swiatek are among the tennis stars to have been photographed prior to the Olympics in Paris, with many fans finding the images hilarious.

Golf stars also had similar photos taken, with Rory McIlroy among those set to compete in Paris. 


One fan joked that the images 'look like Costco membership card photos'.

Another wrote: 'Official Olympics pictures???? more like mugshots lmao'.

Furthermore, another added: 'Wait, the Olympics can’t afford to use pictures that aren’t passport photos?'. 

Meanwhile, another fan wrote: 'Why do they look like they're about to go to jail?'. 

In addition, another supporter stated that the pictures are rather different from how the tennis stars are usually shown. They wrote: 'Oh no! A tad different from their Vogue photos'.

The tennis tournaments at the Olympics are due to be held between July 27 and August 4 at Roland Garros.

It will be Murray's last ever tournament before his retirement. 

Meanwhile, the golf tournaments will be held between August 1 and 10.
