France FUMES over Steph Curry's Paris Olympics heroics for USA as commentators hilariously brand him 'this devil' - while country's McDonalds REMOVES curry sauce from its menus

Steph Curry's demonic performance against France in the men's basketball gold medal game on Saturday had citizens of the host nation fuming during Team USA's win.

In his first Olympic campaign, Curry shined brighter than his All-Star teammates and closed the show with a 24-point tirade during their 98-87 victory over France.

While Curry rained jaw-dropping threes late in the game, the French commentators watched in horror as they labeled the Golden State poster boy 'the devil' during the broadcast.

'Come on, we must continue to steal the ball,' one commentator said as the helpless French defense tried to contain the sharpshooter.

'This devil named Curry is hurting us,' he exclaimed after Curry drained another shot from long range.

'Steph Curry at the buzzer ... how is this possible?!'

'Steph Curry. He got the hot hand, he hot the hot hand! How is this possible?! He got the hot hand, Steph Curry!'

'They gave everything they got, the Frenchies. But with Steph Curry and his maestra.'

Curry earned the label after shooting 8-for-14 from the field and 8-for-13 from three-point range. He also tallied a rebound, five assists, and two steals in the win at Bercy Arena.

Aside from the commentator's meltdown on air, Curry's flurry also affected the fast food scene in France. Early on Saturday, Front Office Sports reported that France is 'considering removing' curry sauce from the McDonald's menu for the next four years.

With their post, FOS shared a screenshot from McDonald's France featuring a photo of the sauce, captioned: 'For obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce.'

His final performance against the French was foreshadowed by a 36-point explosion in Team USA's comeback effort against Serbia in the semi-final. His efforts to eliminate Nikola Jokic and Co. included nine makes from three-point territory.
