Olympics attendees who forked out hundreds to watch closing ceremony in Paris left FURIOUS after realizing A-list musicians were performing in LA

Olympic closing ceremony attendees are livid after realizing that 'confirmed musical guests' for the event were actually thousands of miles away in Los Angeles.

The Paris Olympics advertised that the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg would be performing as the city capped off the Games on Sunday night.

But attendees of the event were extremely dismayed to see that the musical trio were not actually there in person - as they performed in LA ahead of the 2028 Games and were merely live-streamed into Paris.

TikTok user @hilaryinparis called the event the 'scam of the century.'

'I'm livid. I want a refund,' she said. I totally get passing the torch but passing it like this and not letting Paris like own closing the ceremony and own it on a high - I'm literally in shock.'

Hilary shared that she paid  €250 ($273) for the event.

Another attendee, Amanda Rollins, who goes by @americanfille on TikTok was similarly bemused.

'What just happened? I know that they did not just advertise this as confirmed musical guests Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg and Billie Eilish and then have those three artists Zoom in,' she said.

She also captioned her video, 'they wouldn't do us like that. I am clearly hallucinating right.'

To make matters worse, Snoop Dogg had actually been in Paris for the entirety of the Olympics, serving as a torchbearer and a special correspondent for NBC.

While attendees of the closing ceremony may have bene underwhelmed by the event, they did get to see some in-person action as Tom Cruise made an appearance.

The Hollywood actor performed a death-defying stunt as he jumped from the roof of the Stade de France.

Executive producer and creative director Ben Winston, of Fulwell 73 Productions, told Vogue that the stunt took more than a year to orchestrate.

Aditionally, French band Phoenix performed in person in Paris, though rumors that legendary electronic duo Daft Punk would perform proved to be untrue.
