Noah Lyles claims he doesn't know NFL star Tyreek Hill's name after the Dolphins receiver questioned the Olympic sprinter's COVID-19 excuse

Team USA sprinter Noah Lyles is hitting back at Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill after the NFL star known as 'Cheetah' accused the gold-medal winner of lying about COVID-19 to excuse his third-place finish in the 200-meter final at the Paris Olympics.

'What's the cheetah guy from football?' Lyles asked NBC Sports in a viral social media clip. 'Well, I can't remember his name.'

Lyles grasps for Hill's name, first offering 'Mark' before asking someone off screen: 'What's the football player who thinks he's fast's name?'

Hill was among Lyles' many critics who have slammed the Olympic 100-meter champion's claim that he was battling COVID-19 when he finished third in his preferred event, the 200 meters, in Paris last week.

'Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what's just happened to him, then he wants to come out and pretend he's sick,' Hill told NFL Network. 'Just speak on what you know about, and that's track.'

Hill was an elite sprinter growing up in Georgia and claims he would beat Lyles in a race

A high school All-American track star growing up in Georgia, Hill went on to claim that he 'would beat Noah Lyles' if the two ever raced.

The suggestion may not be far off.

Hill ran a 9.98 in the 100-meter dash at the 2013 Hutchinson NJCAA Championships when he was still a teenager, which compares favorably to the 9.83-second 100-meter time Lyles posted in his gold-medal victory.

In fact, Hill's 100m time for 2013 is a full second better than the one Lyles posted while winning the 100m at the 2016 USA Junior Championships.

Their top speeds are also comparable.

Lyles has been clocked at 27mph, while Hill recorded a top speed of 23.24mph in full pads during a 27-yard kickoff return in 2016.
