Novak Djokovic will fly to Wimbledon ahead of the upcoming summer Grand Slam, but remains undecided on whether he will compete in the competition.

The Serbian previously withdrew from the French Open following his fourth-round victory over Francisco Cerundolo due to an injury that could also hamper his ability to perform at Wimbledon.

Djokovic only underwent surgery on his right knee in Paris 17 days ago after he tore his medial meniscus and now needs to wait and see if it has hailed enough in time for him to play at Wimbledon.

The 37-year-old wants to avenge his previous men's final defeat against tennis prodigy Carlos Alcarez who earned a stunning first Wimbledon title in four sets last year.

Djokovic has won an astonishing seven career Grand Slams at Wimbledon and is regarded as one of tennis' greatest-ever grass court players and would be a huge miss if he doesn't compete in this year's edition of the tournament.

Djokovic posted a video online showing he has returned to practice on the court following surgery

He has featured in the past five finals at the luxury London tennis club and is working hard to extend that record, but whether the veteran will be lining up amongst his rivals when Wimbledon starts on July 1 is yet to be seen.

Two videos recently shared by the serial major champion on social media shows Djokovic going through a series of drills in the gym that are being used to judge his fitness and recovery from surgery.

One of the video montages shows Djokovic going through a personal plan of light exercises that combine resistance tools with his own body weight and test the knees.

He looks comfortable and free of pain while completing the routines with his team monitoring results around him and family members also showing their support.

Djokovic ends one of the videos by showing himself back on a tennis court, beaming at the camera and hitting a series of shots over the net to his trainer.

Updating his 14.6m Instagram followers on his condition, Djokovic said: 'I m issed you. We keep building day by day. Mood socks activated....'.
