Angel Reese FINALLY arrives in Phoenix for WNBA All-Star weekend after star rookie skipped opening event to watch NBA summer league - ahead of teaming up with Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese's absence from the opening night of the WNBA All-Star weekend hasn't gone unnoticed despite the star rookie landing in Phoenix after attending an NBA Summer League game, a day earlier.

On Friday, the 22-year-old forward posted a selfie on her Instagram Story along with the words, 'All Star barbieee,' after touching down in Arizona

She also shared a snap of her No. 5 All-Star jersey with her name on it, hanging in the locker room.

On Thursday, during the Rockets-Timberwolves matchup in Las Vegas, Reese hit back at a since-deleted tweet that slammed her decision to snub the WNBA in order to watch the men play, considering that this year is her first All-Star selection.

Reese wrote: 'it's ok babe. i'm minding the business that PAYS me.'

The Chicago Sky star took to Instagram to confirm her whereabouts on Friday

It's not clear why the Chicago Star player would be paid to attend an NBA Summer League game.

What makes matters worse is that Reese did not even try to hide her whereabouts while Caitlin Clark and A'ja Wlson hit the WNBA red carpet on Thursday night, as she posted a courtside selfie at The Thomas & Mack Center to her Instagram story.

The Chicago Sky player was also shown on TV chatting with a friend, Nyla Jackson.

Earlier this week, Reese sat courtside along with Celtics star Jaylen Brown and his girlfriend (and fellow WNBA player) Kysre Gondrezick at a Lakers Summer League game, where the trio appeared to criticize guard Bronny James, who was drafted by LA earlier this summer.

Lip readers everywhere caught Brown supposedly saying, 'I don't think Bronny is a pro.'

And during Rockets-T-Wolves on Thursday, Reese seemed to refer to the NBA player's gaffe by quote tweeting a clip of her and Jackson talking to each other with their hands over their mouths, so their conversation wouldn't be picked up by cameras.

'We done learned our lesson lmaooooo,' Reese wrote on X.

Meanwhile, Clark, Wilson and other WNBA stars stunned on the red-carpet just two days before the WNBA All-Stars take on Team USA's Olympic women basketball team on Saturday.

Clark, who was not selected for the Olympic roster, was nonetheless all smiles as she posed for snaps while Wilson, who will be heading to France later this month, shined in a black lace dress.

Her Team USA teammates Britney Griner, Napheesa Collier, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young were also seen on the red-carpet.

Other names like Dearica Hambry, Sophie Cunningham and college player Hailey Van Lith attended the event as well.
