Andy Cohen addresses infamous feud with Ryan Seacrest on WWHL after THAT snub during NYE broadcast

Ryan Seacrest and Andy Cohen squashed their New Year's Eve feud on Tuesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo.

Andy, 56, and Ryan, 49, host competing TV shows to ring in the New Year and a viewer asked if they had ended their feud and would do a better job of acknowledging each other next time.

'I don't even remember what the feud was about,' Andy admitted.

'I don't either,' Ryan agreed.

'But we did see each other and we did wave,' Andy said.

Ryan said he just asked Andy if he would be in New York City again this year and said they would wave to each other.

'The beef is squashed,' Andy said.

'The beef has been squashed,' Ryan said.

Ryan in January 2023 claimed on Live with Ryan and Kelly that he was ignored by Andy when he waved to him and Anderson Cooper while they were hosting CNN's New Year's Eve Live.

Andy also asked Ryan if longtime Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak, 77, gave him any advice when he took over after hosting the popular game show from 1981 to 2024.

'This man is a legend,' Ryan said. 'He basically said you are going to work with the greatest partner ever, Vanna, and you are going to love meeting three new contestants every night giving them cash and prizes. So have fun!'

Ryan's revelation was in contrast to a report in July by The Mirror that Pat was allegedly giving his replacement 'the cold shoulder'.

Following his 'forced' departure, Pat was said to be 'resentful of the way he was treated and then kicked off the show' and had no interest in giving Ryan any advice or guidance.

'Ryan can reach out to Pat if he wants but asking isn't getting. Pat's always going to be busy, or he'll brush Ryan off with a neutral, 'You got this.' When Ryan takes over, Pat's going to be watching and enjoying seeing how he fares in the hot seat which is full of challenges and not nearly as easy as he might think,' an insider told The Mirror.

Vanna White, 67, also appeared on WWHL with Ryan and said it has been easy working with him. She also admitted that back in the day Pat and her would have margaritas at dinner between tapings.

'We would have two-hour dinner breaks,' Vanna said. 'We didn't drink that much.'

'I am so jealous he gets to host this show with you,' Andy said to Vanna. 'I am told it's a deceptively hard show to host.'

'It's a show we are all familiar with because we have all been fans of it all of our lives,' Ryan said. 'Working with Vanna makes it so wonderful and comfortable for me. But it is familiar but you do have to learn the nuances of the different things that can happen with the rules.'

'And you have to learn the alphabet,' Andy said.

'That I've got,' Ryan said.

'You don't have to worry about that,' Vanna said.

Andy asked Vanna if she preferred pressing or spinning the letters.

'Pressing,' Vanna said.

Andy played a game with Ryan asking him which game he would rather be a contestant on. Ryan picked Survivor over Traitors and American Idol over The Voice.

Andy said he didn't think Ryan would be good on Survivor.

'I think you are a fancy guy,' Andy said.

'I have you fooled,' Ryan said.

Ryan picked being a contestant on Dancing with the Stars over The Masked Singer.

'I've assumed they have asked you every season,' Andy said of the dancing competition show.

'No, they have never asked me,' Ryan said. 'I don't know that I could have the time to train to do it. I don't know if I'd be good at it.'

Two virtual fans asked Vanna which celebrities had stuck out over the years as being the worst and best players.

'There are several good ones,' Vanna said. 'I remember Snoop Dogg. He was a lot of fun.'

Vanna said she didn't remember anyone doing bad.

'I did terrible on Celebrity Family Feud,' Andy said.

Vanna shared that she does not get to keep the dresses on the show and that she has worn over 8,000 dresses.

'They do let me borrow them sometimes for special events,' Vanna said.

Vanna said the show has not changed much over the years. Vanna also said she had been an old friend of reality star Kathy Hilton, 65, for years.

One viewer asked Ryan if he ever had a celebrity that was right for a reality show but that it didn't pan out.

'Did you develop shows with stars that didn't ever end up panning out,' Andy asked.

'I'm sure we did but I can't remember which ones didn't pan out because you remember the ones that make it on the air,' Ryan said. 'The Kardashians are such an incredible global franchise that it's hard to compare anybody to them.'

Ryan also brought Shahs of Sunset to Bravo and Andy asked how that came to him.

'The production company saw some casting of people that wanted to be, show their lifestyle on TV after seeing the Kardashians,' Ryan said. 'We had great characters and that's what makes those shows the best, great characters.'
