Katharine McPhee shows off her toned midriff in a cropped grey sweatsuit and fuzzy overcoat while shopping on a trendy Los Angeles street

Katharine McPhee showed off her incredibly taut midriff in a cropped grey sweatsuit after indulging in some retail therapy in Los Angeles on Monday.

After browsing through a few stores along trendy Melrose Avenue, the 37-year-old  Smash actress sported a matching pants with a criss cross drawstring. 

The new mother completed her cozy look with a fuzzy brown overcoat, an oversized $1,790 blue denim bag from Givenchy and white sneakers with grey laces. 

As she rocked a bouncy blowout, the wife of David Foster appeared to be enjoying some rare alone time from her 11-month-old son Rennie.

Her outing comes just days after she found herself the subject of a tricky Jeopardy! clue on Thursday's episode, which featured the champion Amy Schneider.

McPhee recorded the question and posted a clip of the contestants being stumped to her Instagram account later in the evening. 

The unusual clue required the competitors to combine the names of two TV shows — one of which featured Katharine — rather than stating a standard answer.

The clue to the question was 'Spooky HBO show with references to H.P.'s works, with Katharine McPhee along as the singing nanny,' and the answer was Lovecraft Country Comfort, combining HBO's Lovecraft Country with Katharine since-canceled Netflix series Country Comfort.

Katharine joked in her caption: 'I wouldn’t have even gotten this.'

While her husband didn't join her for dinner on Sunday, the two were seen together last week in Palm Desert, California, while out with their baby boy.

The lovebirds got engaged back in June 2018, and they married a year later in London.

The couple welcomed their son in February of last year.
