Maisie Williams admits that Game of Thrones 'fell off at the end' though she's still proud of the show adding it 'started really strong'
While fans have returned to the world of Westeros with HBO's House of the Dragon, Maisie Williams is reflecting on her time on Game of Thrones.
The 25-year-old actress made her professional acting debut on the hit series as Arya Stark, one of the few characters to survive from the pilot through the series finale spanning all eight seasons.
The actress appeared on a live Twitch stream with her brother James Williams, where she even admitted that the show, 'fell off at the end.'

Williams admitted to her brother that she, 'rewatched it all recently,' and when her brother asked what she thought, the actress said, 'It was... um... it definitely fell off at the end,' which caused both siblings to laugh.
'But it started really strong,' she admitted, adding, 'I was heartbroken when Ned died because for the first time I could really feel the story.'
Her character Arya Stark's father Ned Stark (Sean Bean) was considered one of the most honorable men in all of Westeros, though fans were shocked when new king Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) called for Ned's execution in the ninth episode of Game of Thrones' first season.

Her brother said Game of Thrones was a 'great show' and she said that during her recent rewatch, 'For the first time I could really feel the story.'
'For a long time I had to just avoid it because it was too triggering, but now I feel like I've made peace with it all, I guess,' Williams said.
'It feels good to be proud of it. It was 10 years of my life,' she added.

Her brother said people were always asking what was going to happen next, adding, 'there were always scripts laying around,' though he insisted he never took a peek.
'I didn't want to because I wanted to experience what was going to happen,' he added during the live stream.
She added that the show, 'kinda popped off,' admitting she could, 'never see it from the outside.'

Even while Game of Thrones was in production, Williams found time for many other projects such as Gold, iBoy, Mary Shelley and episodes of Doctor Who.
She also played Rahne Sinclair in The New Mutants and most recently starred in the FX mini-series Pistol.
Williams is currently filming The New Look, portraying Catherine Dior alongside Ben Mendelsohn as fashion icon Christian Dior.
