Jennifer Lawrence flashes her taut midriff in white blouse... as she prepares to play psychotic mother in next movie Die, My Love

Jennifer Lawrence flashed her taut midriff in a summery white ensemble when she surfaced in sunny New York City this week.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner modeled a fluttery white top, leaving the bottom few buttons undone and rolling up her sleeves.

She attempted to beat the heat in a tiny pair of matching shorts, lending herself a bit of shade with a baseball cap and a set of tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Gathering her signature blonde hair into an updo, she brought the look together with a black bag and a pair of green sneakers that matched her headgear.

Her latest sighting comes as she prepares to play a psychotic mother in the upcoming movie Die, My Love, produced by Martin Scorsese.

Die, My Love is based on an acclaimed 2012 novel of the same name by Argentine author Ariana Harwicz set in the French countryside.

The main character, who goes unnamed in the book, finds herself skidding towards madness while struggling with her ennui as a wife and mother in a remote rural environment.

Jennifer's movie adaptation of the book is directed by Lynne Ramsay, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Ratcatcher and We Need To Talk About Kevin.

Die, My Love is scheduled to begin principal photography next month in Calgary, Alberta and continue shooting until October, according to The Film Stage

'It’s about mental health…and the breakdown of a marriage,' said Lynne last August while attending the Sarajevo Film Festival.

'But it’s really f***ing funny. At least I think it’s funny,' she told Variety. 'But I’m Glaswegian, so I’ve a really black sense of humor.'

As for her offscreen family life, Jennifer is married to the dashing art gallerist Cooke Maroney, with whom she shares her two-year-old son Cy.

The couple named their baby after Cy Twombly, a 20th century American artist whose work influenced such names as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Julian Schnabel.

Although their baby's exact date of birth has not been made public, he was widely reported to have been born in February 2022.

Jennifer has candidly revealed that she suffered from 'intrusive thoughts and anxiety' after Cy was born, to the point that she decided to hire bodyguards.

She told Kylie Jenner she had developed a 'friendly' rapport with her security detail, which turned out to be 'nice' despite going against her initial instinct.

Jennifer explained that 'before I hired them, in my mind I was like, I want them to be invisible. I don’t want my kid to see you or know you,' via Interview.

'And then once they start working for you, it’s like: "Well, wait. This is a person in our life. He’s helping us." That’s not really a good lesson to ignore the person that’s helping us. It’s probably better to say: "Say good morning to Sean. Hi. How are you?"'

Jennifer shared that she and her husband have now 'incorporated them more in our lives, which surprised me. That wasn’t how I planned it.'
