Matthew Broderick spends quality time with his three children as he attends the Oh, Mary! opening night at Lyceum Theatre - but Sarah Jessica Parker is nowhere to be seen

Matthew Broderick enjoyed spending some quality time with his three children as he attended  the Oh, Mary! opening night at Lyceum Theatre on Thursday night.

The actor, 61, looked every inch the doting father as he posed for a snap with James, 20, and twin daughters Tabitha and Marion, 15.

But despite the family putting on their best glad rags for the evening, the children's mother and Matthew's wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, was nowhere to be seen.

For the sweet appearance, Matthew looked dapper as always in a maroon and blue plaid blazer which he layered over some jeans.

He finished off his smart ensemble with a crisp white shirt and a blue tie.

His son, James, equally put on a strapping display as he stepped out in a black two-piece suit, which he paired with a white shirt and a space grey tie.

Matthew's daughters looked lovely in a pair of stylish summer dresses.

Oh, Mary! is a dark comedy starring Cole Escola as a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

Unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires abound in this one act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of a fool (Cole Escola).

One of the last times Sarah and Matthew posed with all three of their children on a red carpet was in December 2022.

They were seen at the star-studded world premiere of Some Like It Hot on Broadway.

Matthew and Sarah, 58, who he married in 1997, are currently staying in the UK capital while they both star in their play Plaza Suite at the Savoy Theatre.

The American performers made their debuts as Karen and Sam in the romantic comedy earlier this year.

Plaza Suite is the West End revival of Neil Simon's play of the same name which debuted on Broadway in New York City in 1968.

They were originally announced to star in the play back in September 2019, though the opening night was delayed nearly two years due to COVID-19.

The play is set in suite 719 of New York’s Plaza Hotel, with the production's website stating: 'A delightfully witty exploration of love and marriage, Plaza Suite had New York City audiences enchanted with its charm and its starry cast....

'Now, from January 2024, London’s West End gets the chance to witness two world-class performers and Hollywood icons transform into three unique couples, each finding themselves entangled in hilariously outlandish situations within the walls of the legendary Plaza Suite hotel room.'
