In October, Paul revealed he was engaged to his girlfriend Lorna, five years after the death of his wife Stacey.

The Eighties pop singer took to his Instagram to share a loved-up photo of himself and his fiancée.

Captioning the sweet snap, he wrote: 'Lorna said Yes! We are both so happy and both looking forward to a wonderful future together'.

Lorna also took to her own Instagram to share another smitten shot of the couple, writing: 'My world, my love, my everything, 5 years of joy, I could not love anyone more'.

Paul recently shared insight into his relationship with Lorna during an interview The Irish Independent, saying: 'She keeps me on the level. We might just disappear together. We're just enjoying the moment. It's been really nice.'

The Love of the Common People hitmaker's wedding comes six years after he lost his wife to cancer.

Stacey, who appeared in the video for Paul's second single Come Back And Stay in 1983, died aged 52 in January 2018 following a two-year battle with brain cancer

The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in 1987 and shared three children together, Levi, 36, Layla, 29, and son Grady Cole, 27.

While the couple didn't divorce, they did split in 2006; Stacey welcomed her fourth child Jude, 12, with Israeli businessman Ilan Slazenger during that time.

However, Stacey and Paul decided to give their love a second chance when they reconciled in 2013, with the rocker becoming a stepdad to Jude.

Stacey received her diagnosis when she and Paul had been married for 30 years; the same year that the musician turned 60.

She tragically passed away two years later, with Paul announcing on Twitter: 'Sadly Stacey has passed away today after a two year fight with brain cancer.

'She died peacefully at our home surrounded by family, friends and her four children Levi, Layla, Grady and Jude.'

Speaking about her death on This Morning in 2018, Paul said: 'We just made the best of it for those two years. And as a family, we agreed that we [he and his children] wanted to get working and do something positive.

'That's what she was proudest of. She was really happy for me when things started to pick up again. [We are a close family] we see each other all the time.

'When she first got ill, we all said we'd cut out sugar, because it aggravates cancer, so we did that as a show of solidarity really with Stacey.'

In 2019, Paul confessed his home feels 'empty' without his late wife Stacey as he grieved for her death.

While insisting he was coping well with her death, Paul got emotional as he revealed he initially 'put off' grieving by keeping busy with the tour.

He said: 'I thought it [doing the tour] might be putting things off, when I go home it feels empty but you get used to it again.'

Paul noted seeing his 'close knit family' on a 'regular basis' has been one of the best strategies for coping with his wife's death.

He said: '[I've been] coping good. We're a close knit family, we see each other on a regular basis.'

Stacey received her diagnosis when she and Paul had been married for 30 years; the same year that the musician turned 60.

Paul previously said how a burglary by TV chef Gino D'Acampo on his home in the late nineties has robbed him of treasured memories of his late wife.

The Eighties legend revealed the raid has had a devastating impact on him because music which contained her voice was stolen and never returned.

D'Acampo, then a 21-year-old waiter, targeted the star's Mill Hill home in 1998, and stole his £4,000 guitar collection and a platinum disc.

Young told The Mirror in 2018: 'When Stacey went there were certain bits of music I never got back.

'Let's say that – and that hurt me.'

Referring to the D'Acampo robbery, he added: 'I try to keep a light-hearted attitude on that. He gets enough stick on social networking – he doesn't need my help as well.'

D'Acampo, now 47, was caught after his DNA matched tests on cigarette butts he had dropped in the Paul and Stacey's London home.

He was sentenced to two years in jail for the crime and has since expressed his remorse for his actions.

Young, best known for hits including Wherever I Lay My Hat, has previously admitted to forgiving D'Acampo after he phoned him to apologise in 2009, shortly before the chef's triumphant appearance on reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

'I don't hold it against him. He said it was bad and he apologised, and I did get most of the stuff back,' he told the Evening Standard in 2011.

'Maybe he needed his wrist slapping and he got that. He said he was in a terrible place and wanted to turn his life around.'
