Mark Wahlberg visits his Wahlburgers restaurant on the Gold Coast while staying in Australia to film new comedy movie Balls Up

Mark Wahlberg thrilled his Australian fans on Thursday when he made a surprise visit to his Wahlburgers restaurant on the Gold Coast.

The Hollywood star, 53, who is currently Down Under filming his new movie called Balls Up, shared a clip to Instagram which captured him meeting some local fans at the diner.

'I am here at Wahlburgers in Surfers Paradise, voted number one sexiest Wahlburgers in the world, right here on the Gold Coast. You can see why,' Mark told his fans.

Wahlberg was then seen meeting starstruck staff and customers as he entered the restaurant and posed for photos with several of his fans.

The Ted actor looked to be having the time of his life as he laughed it up with locals at the casual dining establishment, which was founded by Mark and his brothers Paul and Donnie Wahlberg in America in 2011.

Wahlburgers' Gold Coast restaurant, which opened in 2022, is the franchise's only location in Australia, with the famous brothers hoping to open more depending on its popularity.

Many of Mark's fans quickly took to the comment section to gush over the sweet footage.

'It's probably the best location in Surfers Paradise,' one fan wrote and a second person added: 'My fave person and destination.'

'Hopefully I'll be able to move my family down to Australia for four to five months and make a movie on the Gold Coast and enjoy that beautiful country.'
