Elle King is BACK with ex Dan Tooker after split as she reveals heartwarming reason they're giving romance another chance

Elle King has revealed she is back together with fiance Dan Tooker after their 2023 split - and their son helped the pair rekindle their romance.

King, 35, and tattoo artist Tooker got engaged in October 2020 after a year-long romance and welcomed their son Lucky Levi the following September.

However singer King - the daughter of actor Rob Schenider - revealed their romance was over less than two years later when she performed at the Stagecoach music festival in Indio, California in April 2023 wearing a jacket with the word 'single' on her back.

She told People of their reunion: 'We had to grow. I don't know. I'll try anything twice.'

Revealing Lucky was the driving force behind the rekindling, she said: 'He's definitely brought me and his dad back together just because, what are we doing?

'We have everything that both of us have ever wanted right here. Let's put our weapons down. Come on. This is it. This is life. It doesn't get better than this. This is worth trying. This is worth wiping a slate clean. This is worth all the effort in the world. My family

'We're starting fresh. We just bought a really gorgeous new house in the mountains of Nashville. It's happy, it's beautiful. I'm very happy, I'm very content, which is nice, and I don't know if I've ever really felt that, so it's a blessing.'

The lovebirds made it clear they were meant for each other when it turned out they both planned to propose to the other person at the same time.

'We rode horses up a mountain to go gold panning. I had a ring in my pocket and I was going to toss it in the gold pan and propose to @tattooker … but of course, my soulmate beat me to the punch and proposed to me the exact same way,' the songstress wrote on Instagram.

'So I immediately got down on my knee too. I love you, Daniel. One year down, forever to go. I said Yes by the way and so did he!'

King previously told ET about spending quarantine with Tooker: 'For the first half of quarantine, I was pretty alone, and then my boyfriend joined me. And we were totally, like, on top of each other. So for me, my escape was I would come into my music room and I would just make music for like, 11 hours.'

She continued: 'Honestly, it's amazing that we're still in a relationship. My dad on Father's Day, brought up a really great point. He was like, "Elle, you were married and you never spent this much time with him."'

The Shake the Spirit artist said: 'It can 100 percent break a relationship, but for us, it just made us stronger.'

She previously got married to Andrew Ferguson in February of 2016, just a month after they met, later splitting in 2017.

King also got engaged to a man only identified as Jim, whom she'd been dating for a little over a year, keeping their relationship out of the spotlight.

The America's Sweetheart artist mused to Variety in July: 'The beauty of love is being vulnerable and putting yourself out there. Love doesn’t always go as planned, but everything’s a lesson.

'Looking back on so many of my relationships, I’m, like, “Thank God, I’m not with that person,” and “Thank you, a**hole, for teaching me about what I didn’t want.” Now, I’m happily in love with someone I met unexpectedly — we’re together 10 months.

'The best thing was I had time to work on myself and be alone before this, build on the idea of self-love. RuPaul says it best, "If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?"'
