Linda, 62, did appear in the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day, released in 1991, but was killed off in the third movie, 2009 Terminator Salvation - only her voice appeared.
The plot of the latest flick remains a secret as Deadpool director Tim Miller is at the helm with James Cameron returning as producer.
It is the sixth installment in the franchise but it will serve as a direct sequel to The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day while ignoring all other works from the highly successful series of films.
Terminator: Dark Fate is set for release in the UK on October 23 with the US release following a week after on November 1.
