I have read SO many of these books before I discovered Goodreads, and so many are favorites--how can you pick just one or four.

I'm like Judy, I read about half these before I got into GR and only put a few on my read list. I need to up date my list, I guess. I just don't know how to vote for one or even four they are all so darn great!

"Six Bad Things" (Hank Thompson, #2) by Charlie Huston; " Skeleton's Knee and The Scent of Evil by Archer Mayor; The Eye of the Leopard by Henning Mankell; "When She Was Bad" and "Split Image" by Ron Faust; Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee; "The Sculptress" by Minette Walters; Down in the Flood by Kenneth Able , "The Last Good Kiss" by James Crumbly are just a few that have been some of my favorites.

First Night of Summer A gritty, must read psychological thriller/ mystery. Disturbing yet relevant---and full of emotion. Not for the faint of heart. I found it to be a touching story where good triumphs over evil. Great ending!

I'm looking for a book I read years ago, & have forgotten both the title, & author. The USSR has conquered the US, without firing a shot, as several of our defense systems have proven useless. The main character is a translator in the White House; he gets recruited by the Thomas Jefferson underground (set up before the capitulation), which hasn't given up. They manage to break a nuclear sub, with ICBM's, free & get it safely to sea; this changes the balance of power, since the Russians (who had already decided that they'd bit off more than they could chew, & just wanted out) knew that this time the sub Would fire! It gave them a way to save face.

Does anyone know this book? Thanks!

Think Fast or Die Great Middle Eastern set spy thriller which has terrorism mixed with looted antiquities. Clark intertwines the theme of a female Kurd soldier who helps Rick fight the extremists. A Pakistani agent also aids giving a multicultural array of characters. Worth reading.

Because the ratings and reviews are fake.

So many books on this list which I've read but do not consider a thriller... (not even by a long shot...)
