But I kinda dropped off in the middle, especially after I realized what the twist was.
It's a shame because this book was written for romance readers, but it just didn't hook me. Lots of inside jokes, references to other romance novels, but if I have to hear one more thing about how climbable Ben is, I'm gonna barf. I really *really* wanted to like this, but I just couldn't really believe the romance, and the kinda adventure/mystery solving aspect of it was also so obvious I wanted to throttle the main character and shout the answers into her ears.
Maybe I just read this book at the wrong time....more
