Delightful! Because I've already seen the Netflix adaptation - which is very similar - I did keep comparing the two, despite my attempts to enjoy the Delightful! (Millie Bobby Brown just does such a good job at portraying Enola though, that I couldn't not picture her! And once seen, there is no unseeing Henry Cavill as this particular Sherlock.) I'm looking forward to reading more of this series because I'm curious how much the movie took from later books. The Case of the Missing Marquess does cover the secondary plot line of the movie.
Overall this was a charming middle grade read - a spunky character who questions some of her circumstances (why must one wear a Patent Dress Improver? Or have a 17.5" waist?) but not others (why she is referred to as a scandal, having been born so late in her mother's life). Most of all I appreciates that while she compares herself to Sherlock, she's able to recognize what of her skills are keener than his!
