I suppose that this is a result of trying to be relatable to a large group of people, perhaps I simply didn't “get it” but either way it did bring my rating down a bit for this. For the most part though this was an entertaining read, I just wished that the quality was more consistent. 3.5/5

I'm not gonna lie, some of the comics I see of the terrible twos are indeed terrifying. However Lunarbaboon always levies these stressful situations with the funny and bizarre. These quick sketches/comics were great fun to read, and while a couple of them left me scratching my head, most had me giggling with delight.

While it lacks a tiny bit of the magic that was found in Adulthood Is a Myth, I still got a lot of enjoyment out of this book. The writing was good and flowed naturally, however I just didn't find this read to be super engaging. I am not sure why since I cannot think of one thing in particular that was bad about this autobiography.
If anything the writing quality is probably higher than most... I think at times it just tried a teensy bit too hard to be funny. But the main reason I feel a little meh about this book is most likely an unfortunate case of “ It's not you, it's me”.
Overall this is a good book but it just wasn't for me.

Might have worked better as a speculative blog post, but as a published work this is a joke (and not a funny one at that). 0.5/5

I am guilty of swooning over GQ worthy vampires full of never-ending wit and sarcasm, and for some reason always with a British accent?
I love the sympathetic villain and can even side with an occasional mopey teen vampire. I am addicted to all things vampire and as such love even their parodies. An unattractive vampire, who's title itself makes me laugh, was a fun and hilarious diatribe of the “modern” vampire.
It follows unattractive vampire Yulric Bile who has just been unearthed after three hundred years and his horrific discovery of Vampires post Twilight. I loved how this book poked fun at how mainstream vampires have become, and how more often then not they are portrayed as the good guys. This book did remind me a bit of the movie Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp (but actually well written).
I enjoyed all of the characters and Yulric was the perfect grumpy old man/monster. Simon was a cute sidekick as well.
Full of hilarious one liners and chock full of lighthearted quips this book attacks every vampire cliche out there. I would recommend this book to all fans of vampires

I think I'm more of a Mindy Lahiri fan than a Mindy Kaling one.
It's been awhile since I have finished a book and was left feeling so apathetic. I enjoy the Mindy Project and The Office, but I just don't find Mindy all that interesting to read about. I feel like I'm reading someones diary and not in a good way.
I think I chuckled once while reading this, but my main thought was often “how is this even worthy of a mention?” I normally don't mind rambly narratives, but this one was just too mundane for me. The writing is not bad, but the content is just not there. 2.5/5

I am so picky about sequential art books, especially in the humour genre but when I saw this latest book I decided, rather spontaneously to just pick it up. AND I LOVED IT.
This book was hilarious. I found myself laughing constantly, with lots of exclamations of “That's so true”, and “This book could be my diary”. I think most teens and young adults would love this book. My only complaint is that I wished it were longer!

Unto the Review!
As someone who has been a huge fan of “random fact books” her whole life, this latest addition to the genre fell rather flat. Nothing really jumped out at me and made me marvel or left me intrigued. There were ludicrous additions, but nothing was truly humorous or special.
This wasn't a bad book by any means but the extremely short length combined with the mediocrity of random facts makes this nothing more than a good bathroom read. However it is possible that I am biased due to reading so many previous random fact books, and that someone not familiar with these types of books may get more enjoyment out of “Findings” than I did. 2.5/5

Where People I Want to Punch in the Throat came off as witty and snarky, this sequel ended up going into the direction of bitter and exhaustive.
I think the issue was that there simply wasn't enough appropriate subject matter that fit into the theme of the book, and therefore every quip came across as far reaching. Complaining simply for the sake of complaining.
There were still some funny moments in here, even laugh out loud ones, but the magic of the previous book is nowhere to be found. This isn't a terrible book by any means, but if you are interested in this author I would recommend reading the original first. You can check out my review of that here

I liked the art style, but felt that many of the jokes became repetitive, and relied upon the punch line of calling someone, usually a talking animal, an asshole or other random insult. It was funny the first few times, but then got stale. Regardless, this was still a decent browse, but if you like this comic, I might recommend sticking to the web series.

The thing about jellyfish- Pretty writing and interesting story, but I don't read a lot of middle grade books. 3.5/5
The game of lives- Skipped due to not reading the first two in the series. Will not count towards final tally.
These shallow graves- Decent story line but the stilted/overly formal dialogue might get annoying. 3/5
Inherit the stars- Liking this, but there is a lot of information to try to digest at once. 3.5/5 (R)
The accident season- Spooky plot, but I generally don't care much for mysteries/gore. 3/5
Nightfall- eh, just not interested in this. 2/5
What we saw- Good writing but a little too dark for me. I've also seen this plot a million times, but I guess as a fan of Dystopian I can't really talk about repetitiveness. 2.5/5
Legacy of kings- meh, slow excerpt. 2.5/5
Illuminae- A tad confusing at times, but overall really enjoyed this. 4/5. (R)
This raging light- Okay 3.5/5
Not if I see you first- Pretty funny, interesting mc. 4/5 (R)
A step towards falling- Better than expected, I predict an incoming tearjerker. 4.5/5 (R)
A history of blood and glitter- Terrible, couldn't even finish the excerpt. 1/5
Dumplin- Nothing special 2.5/5
The rest of us just live here- Okay, but not really interested. 2.5/5
This is where it ends- Interesting, but not a story I want to read. 3/5
Curiosity House: The shrunken head -Seems pretty fun and well written. 4/5
Are you still there- Just like with This is where it ends, interesting plot and decent writing, but I think I have filled up my lifetime quota of reading books about school violence. 3/5
Hello, goodbye and everything in between- Not bad, but a little too cheesy for me. 2.5/5
Everything,everything- Awesome, look forward to reading the full novel. Maybe not the most original plot, but I got sucked into it right away. 4.5/5 (R)

I hated the cover and the title, and was worried that this would turn out to be about another female comic who relied on her “slutty antics” for entertainment.
This book did feature mostly dating stories, but luckily they were not of the Margaret Cho variety. While not hysterical, I would say I chucked about half a dozen times while reading this book. I found the author to be relatable in terms of typical girl problems. I guess we never truly outgrow them. Overall this is an entertaining read about a female comic's search for The One.

If any author could turn me onto chick lit it would have to be Stella Newman. This is the second book that I have read by her and just like the first it was filled with relatable characters, funny situations and clever dialogue.
I do have to make note though, for the first 30% or so of the novel I did get a strong feeling of Deja Vu, it was so similar to Pear Shaped that I honestly thought maybe I had already read this and that this book was simply a re-title of Pear Shaped.
After going back and flipping through I realized these were not the same book but it was a little troubling. HOWVER despite some similarities between the two I really enjoyed both of them. Its kinda like why you keep going to see the next Nicolas Sparks movie, yes they all follow a simple formula but you still love it.
