I think .. no... I know this is my fave M. Sinclair book that I’ve read all year. Ive been thankful to be able to get her ARC’s for a few months now and this one is hands down my fave. The FMC is innocent but shes also so so so smart. She has a great innocent disposition but she also doesnt take anyone’s crap. She has a cool back story and I really liked her.
Her relationship with her nightmares is great. Even though theres like.. 7 of them.. she has a unique relationship with all of them. I def think Saint is my fave.. because hes absolutely the most psychotic ...more

... ok. I was not expecting all the freaking emotions. Let me first say that Cassis has been my fave out of all Sam’s guys since book 1 so i was LOVING the fact that most the POV’s are his. He was delightful. Broken and tired and so so lonely and the inner turmoil he felt while fighting his need and love for Sam was so angsty and perfect. It made this book even that much better.
The story-line was super interesting. I love that we got to see inside Talon and all the fae goodness. I love that Sam stayed true to herself the entire time she was there and continued to fight for herself and her men.
Wanna know what I loved the most? THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A FREAKING POWER OF 5 CROSSOVER. Soooo.. I wont go into detail because I dont want to spoil it but we get to see old AND new characters from Power of 5 and I am not kidding you when I said I squealed in delight when I realized who was on the page. SQUEALED. Like... woke my 4 year old up because I was so excited about it.
So if anything- you have to read the book for that alone ...more

I enjoyed Anthony’s story much more than Simon and Daphne’s story. Anthony was a much more fun male lead.. and I absolutely adored Kate. Makes me feel like THIS was more of a 4 star read (again- these are the best historical romances ive ever read in my life, but they do seem to be getting better) and I should probably go back and change the first Bridgerton book at a 3.7/3.8 out of 5.
The only thing that irritated me
(Spoilers.. kinda)
Anthony was kind of a dick to Kate at one point and he doesnt even apologize for it. Like he doesnt say a single word about how much of an asshole he was to her in his study. And she just.. acts like nothing happened to them when they see each other again. I was hoping for some damn groveling. That was super annoying imo.
Regardless, I thought the writing was better in this book.. I thought the story was better and much more interesting.. and I’m obviously going to keep reading these book because if they keep getting better than I’m all in on the Bridgertons at this point ...more

I have been looking forward to Tridents story since I started this series. So.. 7 books ago? Let me point out that I'm the WORST at finishing series. Usually I start one and quit by book 3 or 4. They all start to blur together. This is soooo not the case here. The character are hilarious and unique. The story-telling is imaginative and fun. The romance is off the charts. Plus the entire idea of dragon demigods is wonderful.
So.. trident. The fun-loving man-whore who's just looking for a good time. I couldn't WAIT to read about the girl who finally brought him to his knees. And this soooo did not disappoint. I won't get into spoilers but let's just say there was a plot twist I *so* did not see coming and it was absolutely lovely. Trident showed so much depth I wasn't expecting while still staying true to himself. The FMC was wonderful and fun to read. And as per usual I'm absolutely itching for the next book. I'm guessing it will be Death's book which is ...more

GOD DAMNIT. SOMEONE TAKE MY IPAD AWAY FROM ME I CANT BE TRUSTED TO FUNCTION AS AN ADULT WITH THESE BOOKS.
For real though, this was the best one yet. Every single book in this series makes me more and more intrigued with the rest of the guys. I want Death’s story! I want Stephans! I want Rage’s! I WANT TRIDENTS! They (just like her writing in general) jsut keep getting better and better.
Not only was the MC in this so freaking delicious I about drooled on my screen, but i LOVEDDDD The FMC. Dont get me wrong, I loved Ava and Shannon as well. And I liked Morgan well enough, but Ashley (or.. Miss Shaw, I should say...more

One of my fave new authors of 2020 was Colette Rhodes. I fell in love with her storytelling reading the Empath Found trilogy. I became obsessed reading her Dragon duet. When I found out she was launching a stand-alone RH with FREAKING VAMPIRES I was ecstatic.
If youve read Colette’s works before you know she not only creates a sexy RH story, she also does an amazing job with story-telling and world building. Her previous book series’ showcased this exactly, but this new book? She leveled tf up. This book has taken her from an author that you appreciate and look forward to reading, to an author you cant stop stalking to find out when her next book comes out ...more
