“But she was dead in all the ways that mattered. As good as.”
What a RIDE!!!!!
This trilogy has been a sensation! Book three definitely takes us in a different direction than the first two but I loved it!
After the events of Good Girl Bad Blood, Pip is struggling with PTSD and has even developed a pill habit. When she discovers some strange occurrences that lead her to believe someone is stalking her, the police don’t believe her. They think it is just relayed to her trauma.
Looks like Pip is going to have to handle this herself, and when she notices similarities with a closed case of a serial killer, things go from bad to worse.
(view spoiler)
I loved the fast pace, as always and the wonderful characters both to love and to hate. Pip’s relationship with Ravi is absolute goals. (view spoiler)
Holly Jackson is one to watch and I can’t wait for more from her!

Why is it that every time someone cries help they always say that it is all in their head (because of the pills)?

The reveal that the DT killer was a serial rapist too in the 90s was a message to the reader that Max Hastings may certainly be a rapist but if he remained free. Who knows he may have become a killer too.
I know a lot of readers felt Pip killing him was out of character but with her trauma and in the moment it makes sense. She already envisioned pushing Max in front of a truck. DT would have remained a danger if he wasn't stopped. The part that bothered me was the end w Pip isolating herself.
I enjoyed reading your review! I was sad she felt the need to cut everyone off too. But I thought maybe she did it as a way to punish herself for killing DT.
