The Libraries offers many opportunities for you to share your work with a variety of audiences. Our events provide a platform for students and faculty to share their work with public audiences of all ages. Our high-tech spaces provide unique venues for connecting with audiences through programs and exhibits that are engaging and informative.

Innovation Studio

The Innovation Studio, located in the D.H. Hill Jr. Library, is a unique learning space dedicated to showcasing NC State student and faculty work. Equipped with an interactive projection system, the Studio exhibits media-rich work across disciplines, and offers an engaging experience to our campus community and visitors. This space is a great way to present coursework to a broader audience through end-of-semester presentations.

Visualization Gallery

The Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery at the D.H. Hill Jr. Library is an exciting space to present immersive visual and auditory work. The space can be used for course instruction, research presentations, and other special projects meant to be shared in front of an audience.

Teaching & Visualization Lab

The Teaching and Visualization Lab is a black-box room that offers 217 degrees of immersive projection on one smooth, curved projection screen that measures 85 feet in length. The room can host a variety of events including high-impact presentations of large-scale visualizations and simulations, technology-rich interactive instruction sessions, and more.

Video Walls

Four Video Walls at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library display a collection of curated content created by the NC State community. These ultra high-definition displays are viewable by anyone visiting the Hunt Library, and accept submissions of student and faculty media.

Lawrence & Ella Apple Technology Showcase

Technology Showcase at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library
The Lawrence and Ella Apple Technology Showcase at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library is a public space dedicated to innovative technology, including new and exciting uses of emerging technology by students and faculty. The space also allows people who are new to emerging technology to try out new devices and become inspired by examples of work.

Opportunities for Sharing Work

The Peer Scholars Program is an ongoing workshop series that invites graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to share their skills with others using Libraries spaces and technology. Have an idea for a workshop? Learn more about joining the Peer Scholars Program

State of Sound invites all members of the NC State community to submit your unique sounds - music, podcasts, interviews, and more - to be shared on the Libraries' website and through Libraries events. Curious to find out more? Get inspired by these previous submissions

Coffee & Viz is an ongoing event series for NC State researchers to share their visualization work and discuss topics of interest.
