The Ford New Zealand team may see a familiar face when they tune into the games in August: communications chief Tom Clancy and his wife Kelly will be there cheering for their son Grant from the banks of the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium. Grant Clancy will represent his home country in the men’s two-man canoe (C2) and four-man kayak (K4) flat water sprint races. “It’s odd for a PR guy to be at a loss for words, but I’m super proud, thrilled and elated,” Tom said. “I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet but hearing his name read out by the New Zealand Olympic Committee was pretty emotional.” Congratulations to the Clancy family, and good luck, Grant – we’ll be watching! Would you like to have a built-in cheering section at work? Join us and feel the team spirit! Learn more at https://lnkd.in/g3MgrrhX #WeAreFord #FordNewZealand #FordIMG

Halfway through my internship at Ford Motor Company, and all I can say is, "Wow!" What a beautiful journey this has been. I've attended numerous intern events and had countless fireside chats with incredibly valuable people. Two of the most memorable were with Jim Farley, the CEO, and Bill Ford, the executive chair. Both spoke with such genuine excitement about us interns and our futures. Hearing everyone's experiences at Ford, and meeting many leaders, I can't help but feel a profound sense of passion and community in this company—it truly feels like a family. I've been privileged to speak with Martin (Marty) Christensen, Rebecca Faerber, Stacey Smolinski, Tim Geiger, and many others, all of whom have had a great impact on me. Recently, we had a wonderful ERG event that embraced culture and a sense of belonging. Later that day, Ford provided an amazing opportunity for all the interns and FCGs to attend a Detroit Tigers game, where we celebrated a victory! Today, I had the opportunity to sit in on another fireside chat with Ford's Women Leadership in Cyber Security, Caroline Buckley and Sharon Runson, who shared insights on career development, communication, and pursuing one's passions. During the meeting, we were encouraged to choose three roles we'd love to have, and I'm determined to pursue these opportunities. Afterwards, I had the chance to connect with Mukta (Minnie) S. and share some personal experiences with her. Thank you for listening. I do have to give one last shoutout to Ben Mouawad and Shareef Hakim for listening to my passions and providing guidance along the way. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has made this experience possible. In the last 6 weeks at Ford, I have cherished every moment and will continue to do so. I want to thank my team for their unwavering support, Brandy Joe Plambeck for organizing these fantastic intern events and to everyone who took the time out of their day to speak with me. It is such a great honor to meet such talented people. This journey is far from over! #WeAreFord #FordIntern #CyberSecurity #waynestateuniveristy #WSU #dearborn #WiCyS

Thanks to Bridget Eusebi for sharing this electrifying experience! Bridget is working on her master’s degree at Wayne State University and is an intern with the Model e Retail Strategy and Operations team this summer. #WeAreFord #FordIntern
Exciting Experience at Ford Motor Company Model e! I'm thrilled to share my amazing journey as a Ford Graduate intern, where I had the incredible opportunity to test drive and take home a couple of electric vehicles from our fleet management system. ⚡️🛻💨 Through this program, I became M plate & Camouflage trained and certified, allowing me to drive and experience the all-electric F-150 Lightning and the Mustang Mach-E. This was my first time ever driving an electric vehicle, and it was truly unforgettable. I will never forget the first time I took my hands off of the wheel and let BlueCruise take control! Such an amazing feature. I am grateful for this unique experience at the factory, which deepened my understanding of our innovative electric vehicles. I wanted to extend my thanks to Stacey Ferreira for extending this opportunity to me, and John Craib for answering any and all questions that I had throughout the experience. Thank you, Ford, for this incredible opportunity! #WeAreFord #ModelE #FordIntern #Innovation #CareerGrowth #EmpathyLoanerProgram #ElevtricVehicles

Hi there! My name is Chuk Anyanwu and I’m a senior at Texas Woman's University’s earning a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Supply Chain. This summer, I’ve earned a spot as a #FordIntern with the Cataloging and Releasing Team. I get the amazing but crucial task of making sure that all our vehicle parts are documented and released, ensuring a smooth production. I’m also a Ford Social Ambassador! I get to showcase the beauty of interning at Ford Motor Company to the world. My favorite event so far was hosting and meeting Bill Ford at the annual intern Fireside Chat. But I must say having the Detroit Lions practice facility next door to the building I work out of is also another fun perk. Join me on this #InternTuesday as I take over the @FordCareers Instagram stories for a #DayintheLife of a Ford Intern.

The Struandale Engine Plant in Gqeberha, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa, recently opened its completely revamped and modernized Plant 2 Canteen, creating a vibrant and welcoming new common area for employees to meet and interact during mealtimes. “It’s important that when people come to work they feel appreciated, and the new canteen shows our commitment to our people and that we value them,” said Ockert Berry, VP Operations. Two braais have also been added, and there’s a new American roadhouse-styled room, complete with circular booths trimmed in white and blue, which is used for special employee events such as long-service awards. “The canteen is beautiful and has a lot of space. This gives employees a much better way of sitting together and interacting with each other, enhancing the overall culture at work. The food has also improved with greater variety,” said Struandale team member Siphokazi Siletile. Do you wish you had co-workers who make lunchtime fun?
