Are you constantly bombarded with messages about how much more you could be doing? "You have so much potential! You're playing small! You can achieve so much more!" While these messages can be motivating, they can also lead to burnout and exhaustion, especially for women juggling businesses, families, and personal aspirations. Here's the thing: Instead of focusing solely on doing more, let's shift the conversation to capacity. What is your capacity for doing hard things? This is a fundamentally different question because it moves beyond your worth and value, which are inherently fixed. Instead, it focuses on your energy, resources, and ability to manage the demands of your life. This is especially crucial for women who are lauded for their leadership and achievements. This is the third week in a month-long celebration of International Women’s Month where I'm sharing words of wisdom from women I’ve interviewed over the years on The Sasuga! Podcast. Do you play it safe when sharing your opinion? I did, until NOW. As women (and oftentimes recovering people pleasers) it’s normal to not want to “rock the boat” and ensure that everyone likes you. Yet a series of recent events has led to an awakening that I can no longer NOT share what’s on my mind. I just returned from an industry event filled with top marketers and thought leaders (many who you would recognize). While I networked, caught up with friends, and soaked in the latest insights, I also faced a flood of conflicting advice.
