LSU head coach Brian Kelly coaches during practice Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, at the Tigers’ outdoor practice facility on the campus of LSU in Baton Rouge, La.

LSU football has added a commitment from four-star safety CJ Jimcoily, Jimcoily announced on Thursday.

At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Jimcoily is the No. 32 safety and the No. 348 player in the nation from the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite.

He attends Lipscomb Academy in Nashville and is the No. 9 player in Tennessee. He is the first player from the state to commit to LSU's 2025 class.

Jimcoily chose the Tigers over Alabama, Stanford, Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss and others.

He is the third defensive back to commit to the Tigers from the 2025 class, joining five-star cornerback DJ Pickett and three-star safety Jhase Thomas.

He's also the 10th defensive player to commit to LSU. The Tigers also have pledges from four-star edge rushers Damien Shanklin and LaJesse Harrold, four-star defensive linemen Zion Williams and Brandon Brown, four-star linebackers Charles Ross and Keylan Moses and three-star linebacker Jaiden Braker.

LSU holds the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation following Jimcoily's commitment.
