Meet the Chef
Martin Yepez
Orange Sky Chef de Cuisine
Hailing originally from Sonora, Mexico, Chef Yepez has worked for a number of high-profile restaurants throughout the Valley before joining Talking Stick Resort in 2010. Along with his culinary team, Chef Yepez won numerous awards and accolades, including the Arizona Indian Gaming Association’s Chef Challenge.
As Orange Sky’s Sous Chef, he received recognition by local and industry publications such as Arizona Republic, Arizona Foothills and Casino Player Magazine. Now that he’s risen through the ranks to Chef de Cuisine, Chef Yepez is thrilled to take the helm of the famed restaurant. His philosophy on food is that fresh is better, which he harnesses as he crafts a modern expression of steakhouse elegance with a view into Sonoran Desert ingredients and preparations.

Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence 2023
Wine Spectator’s award honors wine lists with a breadth of wine-growing regions, vertical depth of top producers, superior presentation, and a selection of 350 or more wines. Orange Sky has received the award every year since 2011.
The wine list has won Wine Spectator's “Award of Excellence” from 2011-2015, and the “Best of Award of Excellence” from 2016-2023 for being one of the most outstanding wine lists in the world.
