At approximately 1:50 p.m., a white male was arrested for Unregistered Ammunition in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE, after turning over a shotgun shell to an officer during a traffic stop.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at approximately 2:15 p.m., an officer assigned to the United States Capitol Police Senate Division observed what appeared to be smoke or dust in a dumpster located in the Senate Loading Dock. As the officer approached the dumpster to investigate the situation, he experience a burning sensation in his lungs.

Starting Friday, April 25, 2003, Chief Terrance W. Gainer and the Capitol Police Board, in consultation with the Leadership of the House of Representatives and the Senate, have determined that it would be appropriate for public tours to resume.
