Another plus for A Plus Appliance Repair.
Arriving on time, the polite and efficient service tech got right to work on my dryer. In a jiffy, he diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately for me, the issue was a heat sensor, which is not cost effective to replace, so a new dryer is in order.
While A Plus Appliance Repair was not able to rectify the problem, the $120 service fee was well spent. Now I know for sure that I need a new unit.

Arriving well within the promised time window, Dmitry was friendly and professional. Having answered some simple questions over the phone that led to an initial diagnosis, he verified the issue within minutes: a faulty fill valve on the dishwasher was the culprit.
We shut off the water supply, and within 20 minutes he had removed the old, broken valve and installed a new one. The time sped by as we had a great, far-ranging conversation on topics as varied as the Russia investigation, Bay Area housing and the state of the stock market.
With the water back on, he professionally verified that his work had remedied the issue, cleaned up any remaining drips and reinstalled the kick plate. Thanks to Dmitry and A Plus Appliance Repair, the dishwasher was was up and running again.

I called to seek assistance fixing the door of my Bosch Axxis+ washer, which would not open. Much to my surprise, I was able to get an appointment with a technician between 1:00 and 3:00 _the same day_. The young man arrived promptly: in fact, he was even a few minutes early.
Within minutes he had correctly diagnosed the issue with the door--a cracked piece of plastic in the door handle assembly. Remarkably, he had the correct part in his truck (a total happenstance, as the part is rather specialized and he would not normally have had it, save for a previous client for whom it was ordered who did want it--but hey, when serendipity smiles, I'll take it).
After disassembling the door, the technician (a very nice young Russian man who volunteers at the SF General emergency room) determined the correct procedure for inserting the new part, and within minutes he was finished. Now my washer is as good as new.

Emil committed to a service window between 2:00 and 4:00. He was absolutely on time: the doorbell rang at precisely 2:00. Within minutes he had diagnosed the problem with a Viking range (failed electronic igniter), provided an estimate, and began remedying the issue. Ever-prepared, he had the appropriate part in his truck and fixed the issue within a half hour.

We had what can only be described as superb customer service from A+ Appliance. Jay, the technician arrived at the appointed time introduced himself and got right to work. He was polite, neat, and proficient at diagnosing and repairing our washing machine. Refreshingly, he took the time to inform us of what the problem was and explained what was required to fix it. Walt B.Belvedere Tiburon, CA01177Nov 15, 2023I would trust these guys any day. They really want to fix problems. My refrigerator had a difficult one. J and Emil did whatever it took to solve it. That was four visits, one time with both of them. They charged the $95 for the initial visit and didn't ask for anything else until it was working. The amount was quite reasonable considering all the time it took. It turned out to be the compressor, and Emil didn't install the new one until he had wired it temporarily and made sure it was going to be the fix.
