Ace Plumbing & Rooter

My kitchen sink suddenly had sewage coming up randomly last night thanks to a clog down the line and my upstairs units sewage continuing to flow - it was not pretty. I did try to use my own drain auger to clear the pipes, but I was not successful - so I did my homeowners due diligence. Already past 8PM, I decided to call Ace Plumbing & Rooters because I had a sewage emergency. Sebastian came to the rescue to help unclog the drain filled with grease. I'm grateful for the after hours service to help minimize the amount of sewage flowing down my cabinets and got everything back to working order. I wished I called Ace Plumbing sooner so I didn't need to do some of the messy work.

As for value, Ace Plumbing & Rooter after hours emergencies is expensive, but unfortunately for me, it was an emergency and their service helped clear the clog for me and multiple units above me.

Avoid at all costs. Sketchy business.

I called to ask for an assessment of a plumbing issue with a unit that is being rented out. I called Ace Plumbing 4x and asked for a quote multiple times. After the plumber stopped by in the morning, stating he would return, I called again to ask for a read out of what needed to be fixed and how much the estimated costs were. I never received a call back, informing me of when the plumber would return (given an active leak) and what needed to be replaced/repaired. I couldn't be there for the appointment so I called and spoke to the business multiple times to confirm that they would not proceed with work without calling to let me know what the issue was and to provide a quote.

Well...The plumber proceeded to tell the tenant that there wasn't an issue, something just had to be turned on, and specifically that he "wasn't going to charge". Lo and behold, I get a surprise invoice for $400 the next day that specifically states "Ace Plumbing will not proceed with any proposed change order until the change order has been approved/signed by the owner. Any additional work found necessary to complete the work will be discussed and approved by the owner." Well, they never discussed exactly what was fixed, they never called to provide a quote, and every time I email to billing department and call they have no idea what's going on. I very specifically did NOT approve any work. After more conversations than I can count, I've had multiple representatives tell me there isn't an issue and they'd drop the invoice.

It's now been 9 months and they continue to email me and send letters and call and harass me about a fraudulent invoice I never approved and that goes explicitly against what their plumber told us. I'm reporting them to the BBB and consumer protection agencies.

We had Ace Plumbing run a new gas line up to our 5th floor rooftop for a BBQ/firepit. They were very professional throughout the process and had good follow up with me prior to selecting them as our chosen vendor to do the work. Their quote was detailed and fairly priced.

Franco and Franco Jr were friendly and helpful during the installation process. They took the time to ensure they did the job right and to my liking, rather than just rushing to get the job done as quickly as possible. I am very happy with the final job and would recommend this team to others in need of a plumping solution!

Ryan did an amazing job fixing our backed up shower and toilet. He provided a reasonable estimate and went above and beyond to diagnose and correct the problem. He has amazing critical thinking skills and communicated all he was doing in a way I could understand. In addition, Ryan gave excellent advice for future care and prevention.

The last thing I expected to be doing before the upcoming 4th of July was to deal with a leaking water heater.

So I requested Ace Plumbing to take a look and let me know if it could be repaired.

Oscar promptly arrived within 15 minutes, took one look at it and told me, my dude it's time to replace it.

He helped me select the best replacement for my needs and came back the next day with my new water heater in tow.

The quality of this new water heater is pretty awesome. I had forgotten what it felt like for the shower water to warm up in 5 minutes or less and continue to stay warm for more than 10 minutes before getting ice cold.

As for the value, considering the time and effort both Oscar and Francisco took to make sure the new water heater was properly set up and operational, I'd say I got my money's worth.

Did a good job and were super fast (came within 2 hours same day), but was really expensive.

I noticed water around water heater in the morning, called ACE, they came out and confirmed the problem and gave me good options for replacement, explaining pros and cons of each and then installed my choice that afternoon. Nice guys who did good work and solved my issue with no hassle. Thanks!

Consistent! The hot water was coming out so slowly we could barely wash the dishes! Ace Plumbing to the rescue! Franco and Jordan were so professional and so very kind. Finished up the job quickly, clean, and with such care I added on another job for them while they were here! Why not spend my money where the service is fabulous and the work is too?
