I had Alex's workers install my new Range and over the range microwave. They did an amazing job. Very reasonable prices for the work that they do.

I was stuck with Alex Appliances for installation by the appliance retailer I purchased my Subzero refrigerator drawers from. Their prices are exorbitant. Their communication is sloppy and inefficient, including poor customer service. They make last minute price increases. I would never, ever recommend using their "services."

The two employees of Alex Appliances were not competent. They tried to change the side the refrigerator door was on, which was supposed to open from right to left. But while doing so the fridge would no longer close properly (there was a gap in the seal). I had to order a new fridge which Alex delivered the next day (hence 2 stars instead of one). The two employees had made gouges in my dining room baseboard while moving in the fridge. Alex arranged for his brother to fix the gouges, but his brother merely painted over the holes. I would not recommend them.

These guys are great! They are super professional, always on time, extremely knowledgeable, and fast. I have had them do a major job and a small job, and they were great with both! Can't say enough good things about them.

Delivery and installation of Galvin Appliance refrigerators. Charges to come out and measure before quoting the job. (Note: we didn't hear anything for 3-4 business days after Galvin sent the referral, then got a call saying he was in the neighborhood and could be over in 10 minutes if that worked.) Recommended we stick with the same brand to be safe on fit, but even then the cabinet was super tight and he could barely get out the old fridge. He made it work. He didn't up charge. Don't get me started on the awful people Airport Appliance sent when i bought a brand Galvin didn't carry.
He was super accommodating, adding us in at the end of his work day when the fridge arrived earlier than predicted, loaning us tools to deal with some other issues while the old fridge was out before the new fridge made things inaccessible, and doing a great job on all the things overlooked in previous installation like leveling so the doors swung closed on their own, removing all the protective plastic cling wrap, etc.
Knew the factory recommended temp settings and turned off the alarm warning it was over temperature when first plugged in.
No one trained him to warn customers, and manual also fails to mention it when explaining installation, that Kitchenaid fridge when first turned on will also need to have the reset alarm button pushed yet again several hours after Alex leaves. There was no audible alarm but reset is needed to get the fridge back to displaying what temperature it is actually set to (because otherwise it keeps blinking 48 degrees, which is very confusing -- a user interface "feature" to ensure you RTFM).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - jesse l.Oakland, CA39Jun 2, 2021
Alex and his helper removed an old double-oven, which was moderately difficult because of the relatively poor installation done long ago, and put in a new (used from craigslist) oven. In total this required manhandling the old and new up and down steps (they're in the 250-300lb range), some electrical work, sawzalling the wall cutout for the oven since the cutout was poorly made, vacuuming up, using thick drop-blankets to prevent damage to anything, and even doing some functionality checks of the new oven. And hauled the old oven away. He is friendly, practical, can-do and obviously very experienced. It could not have gone better!

We reached out to this company based on the recommendation from Galvin Appliances. Found them difficult to reach and get our call returned.. Finally made an appointment for a 9-10 am time slot. Did not show up; we called at 10 am and were told: "On the way." By noon, still a no show, with no call to notify us. We canceled and moved on to someone else.

My refrigerator was going out and I wanted someone to come in and take a look at it and possibly replace it if it needed to be. I was told that they only do installations and I had to buy the refrigerator first. It was my responsibility to buy the frig first then they would come out and install it. Thank you but no help.

We had a problematic installation of a gas cooktop but the installers from Alex Appliances were terrific. They identified the problems, gave sensible solutions, then did an amazing installation. They were professional, polite, and cleaned up afterwards so that it looked like they were never there. Couldn't recommend them more highly.
