I had my fridge repaired in the next day. Vlad was friendly, honest, knowledgeable and very diligent. We received same day service on our leaking GE Monogram freezer. It took him a few hours to fix the problem. They are costly but definitely worth it.

They came back for a separate repair, and the service was just as great as the first time. Although a different technician arrived, he seemed like he was from the same family. The service was no-nonsense and faster than promised, even though they needed to order a part and return to install it at a later date. He even put up w/my little puppy helping out. The communication to order and schedule everything was flawless. I wouldn't dare use anyone else for appliance repair!

The nice man who showed up on time worked like a watchmaker w/his ear fine-tuned to the dishwasher and all it's noises corresponding to the error codes in his little spell book of appliance jargon and finally siphoning all that through his Appliance Sorcerer iPhone app. His diagnosis was spot on and advise seemed genuine. Yay, I have a new excellent referral for the very important art of appliance repair & maintenance. Extra thanks to the lady who schedule it all w/perfect follow up.

A year later and our freezer was leaking so I called again and, drum roll, Tatyana answered IMMEDIATELY just as previous service requests! She listened to my issue and called back within MINUTES saying that Eugene could arrive in a couple hours, just wow! Eugene was great and the financial arrangements remain the same.

Oct 18, 2022Previous reviewCalled re dishwasher drain issue and received the same 5 star service as 5 years ago. Owner Tatyana called me within minutes and scheduled Igor the next morning. Igor arrived on time with the necessary tools and fixed our problem in 20 minutes, AFTER we approved the $260 fee (no service call charge).
Nov 26, 2016Previous reviewThere were two appliance repair services listed for Walnut Creek, both of them 5 stars. I called The Appliance Doctor first simply because it had more reviews. I was told that they could service me in FIVE DAYS, with no hint of compassion for my broken freezer compartment. Then I called Tatyana who took my information and said she would call back within 10 minutes. She did, and Alex arrived in less than an hour! Alex quickly diagnosed a broken condenser motor and charged 1/2 of the total (part and labor), with NO service call fee (applied to the job). Alex returned the next day for the installation and we could then start restocking our freezer. What's not to like with this service?

The hood for my stove is 25 years old and the switch broke. It gets used every day. We called Appliance 911 and were assured it could be fixed. Igor came and assessed it. They ordered the part and in a few days he replaced the part and it is in fine working order. I am so relieved not to have to get a new one !! Their price was really half what I expected for such a thing.

I have used Appliance 911 twice. They have a minimum service charge that the say applies to the total bill if the repair is done. I had one good experience but the recent second experience was bad and I will not use them again.
The first was for a refrigerator that stopped cooling and the service and charges were fine. The second visit was by Igor for a stuck trash compactor. I called and they had two availabilities the following day, I took the earlier and the technician arrived on time and set to work. Although he never gave an estimate, he had completed the repair in less than 30 minutes. I assumed the charge would be $140, given the brevity of the work and that no parts were needed. Although Igor said he was applying the $140 minimum toward the charges, he insisted the total owed was $210 for his 30 minute, no parts required work for which no estimate had been given.
I paid and called Tatiana, who said she would check with the technician and call me back. She never did. When I did reach her, she provided an incoherent defense (that the charge is for the job, not the time, that I should have asked for an estimate rather than waiting for him to offer one, that he couldn't be expected tell me how much in advance how much it would cost without doing the work, etc.) Tatiana could not tell me what she believed his hourly rate to me or how she could justify a $420/hr. effective rate.
The trash compactor was repaired, but the charge was exorbitant. if you are going to use Appliance 911, be very explicit about cost and don't pay the technician and hope to work out the issue with Tatiana.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

No complaints about response time, I called and mentioned our issue with a dishwasher which was erroring and left my details and got a call back 10 mins later and someone came out to the property within 2hrs. The serviceman who showed up spent a couple minutes looking at the error code and said it would cost $270 to drain a blocked hose. The callout charge is $150 so I had no good options. He was here for less than 30mins. I'll never use this company again, an absolute ripoff but they know you don't have a choice; I wouldn't use a company with such a high callout charge going forward. Avoid. I'm not sure why Yelp is marking this review as 'value' and 'quality' that's nonsense; I said no for value and left quality blank because I have no idea if the blockage is completely clear yet.

An appt was made for the next day and both my refrigerator and dryer were fixed in a few hours. Vlad was knowledgeable, friendly and right on time. We recently had a dishwasher problem and it was difficult to isolate if the problem was the DW or the electrical itself. TatyanaApr 28, 2021Previous reviewWe love Appliance 911! Recently, our clothes dryer was only putting out cold air. It is 16 years old, but I wanted to get some more "life" out of it if possible. Called Tatyana (sp?) at Appliance 911. She was able to dispatch a technician to our home within an hour or two. Eugene came here, masked, and diagnosed that the dryer needed a new fuse, installed it and we were back in business!!!! We consistently get very good and responsive service from Appliance 911!!! High recommend!
Dec 12, 2019Previous reviewOur kitchen is over 30 years old and is tired. We contacted Appliance 911 to come look at two appliances that were limping along. This was the second time we have used Appliance 911 because we were impressed when we've used them before. Alexander came and quietly, studiously worked on both problem areas. In the end, cost of the parts were prohibitive, as these two appliances (freezer, cooktop) are on their last legs, so we did not end up ordering the new parts. We were only charged for their service call. The technician couldn't have been more polite and hard-working. We will use them again!
Feb 27, 2019Previous reviewWe contacted Appliance 911 based on their great reviews on Yelp. The woman scheduling our appointment for refrigerator repair was very accommodating and polite. We called them on Saturday and were able to be scheduled for early Monday afternoon. Technician Sergie (sp?) was extremely courteous (and asked if we would prefer that he remove his shoes :-). He explained what was going on, gave us options, then went to work quietly and efficiently. We would use them again! Thank you Appliance 911!

My refrigerator broke. I called Appliance 911. They came and then fixed it. A week later, the refrigerator broke again. They sent the same guy. He got it working. And then 4 days later it broke again. They then sent the same guy. He looked at it and did some stuff. He then told us it was fixed (even though it wasn't) and then quickly left. I called them again. Then they me that my refrigerator likely has severe damage... and I need to make another appointment with them.
Appliance 911 is earnest but incompetent. My family went a month without a properly working refrigerator because of their continuous misdiagnoses. Even after a handful of visits, it's not clear if they understood the problem or that their job was to get the refrigerator working again.
Edit- I'm perplexed that the owner denies servicing our refrigerator. I don't know if it's incompetence or intentional dishonesty. My wife spoke directly w/Tatyana. I'm looking right now at the invoices of hundreds of dollars that Appliance 911 charged us for our still broken refrigerator. Tatyana was very pleasant and efficient when she scheduled our service call. The tech arrived on time - he even called me 15 minutes before to tell me he was on his way. The problems were quickly identified and repaired. I would not hesitate to use Appliance 911again should the need arise.
