Appliance 911

My Miele dishwasher is over 10 years old and wasn't draining correctly. I was so afraid I was going to need a new dishwasher. Vlad was at my house the next day and diagnosed and fixed the problem in no time! These are such expensive appliances so it is great to find someone to keep them going.
I had an issue with a Miele convection oven/ microwave and Vlad found the part number for the piece I needed. That's two appliances I won't be replacing!!

My fridge on the fritz but was still working (can hear motor running and compressor was hot to touch). Temp in freezer yesterday was -11 and today -4, fridge 43 yesterday and 50 today. Not looking good!

I have a GE Monogram and booked an online appointment with GE but didn't want to wait 6 more days -- life without fridge is a huge hassle and I didn't want to food to spoil.

Tatyana on the phone and Vlad, service person - both were great! I called them on Friday after Thanksgiving and they were simply amazing.

Vlad was available and came within in an hour of my call. After 5 minutes of looking at the fridge, he recommended working with GE and keeping the appointment. Totally appreciate his honesty and not dragging us along.

Appliance 911 was fantastic! The office promptly returned my call within 15 minutes and the technician was able to come out to my home the next morning. Our dryer was suddenly emitting a strong electrical burning smell days before leaving town for a few weeks. We had loads of laundry to do so needed the unit fixed ASAP. I originally purchased the unit with an extended warranty but upon trying to schedule a warranty repair I was warned that lint cleaning wouldn't be covered. They were going to send a company out to look but warned me I'd have to pay if it wasn't warranty work. The company they contracted with had horrible reviews on Yelp, so I decided to forget about the warranty and find someone that could give my unit a thorough cleaning and diagnose the issue fast. I found Vlad and was pleased with his positive reviews and distance to my home. He scheduled me for an 8-11am window but said he would call when he was 15 minutes out so I wouldn't have to wait around. As promised technician called that morning at 7:45 am to say he was on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter and immediately got to work. He took the entire unit apart as promised and showed me exactly where the burning was coming from and the lint that was causing it near the open gas flame. He cleaned all the lint out (and it was everywhere!) and put the machine back together again as good as new. He also detected that the duct from the machine to the wall had become badly caved in because the washer had been pushed too far back against it. He said the air passage was severely blocked and therefore the lint was building up in my machine. He had a new, much higher quality duct replacement in his vehicle and replaced it immediately. The part installed originally was very cheap and bent easily, closing the passageway for the lint to travel outside if needed. The part technician had on hand was reinforced to help prevent denting. I was worried I was going to have to give my dryer a thorough cleaning annually, but technician reassured me that with the new duct and keeping the machines where he placed them, I shouldn't have any trouble at all. He was even nice enough to clean out my dishwasher filter, as he was reviewing with me which appliances require any type of routine maintenance.
I would recommend Appliance 911 to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, professional appliance repair company.

Vlad came out the next day and gave me a thorough assessment and fair estimate for a garbage disposal replacement (13 yrs old). He scheduled the repair the next day and I'm very happy with his work and will gladly recommend to others

This is my second review of Appliance 911. Our dacor oven stopped working and after checking everything I could, I had to call in the expert, namely Vlad. He has worked on the oven before and as before diagnosed the problem and had the oven working in less than an hour. Vlad is my go-to person for appliance repair and has never let me down. Highly recommended.

My DACOR convection oven was not heating. This has happened before and I learned an expensive lesson about a reset button from another appliance repair company. This time no luck, so I contacted Tatyana in the morning. Vlad came out and by 11:00 am that morning the stove was fixed with the new part installed. Vlad was fast efficient and followed COVID protocols in his repair. Thank you Appliance 911 for a great job.

Our dishwasher stopped running and the drain light came on. I cleaned
the drain but it still wouldn't run. I looked at yelp and found Appliance 911.
I called them and they sent Vlad out the first thing the next morning. Vlad checked it out and gave me an estimate and said he would get the parts and would be back the next day to fix it. He was there the next day and replaced some parts and also fixed the handle on the dishwasher. Within a hour he had everything fixed. I was very happy with my whole experience with Appliance 911. Vlad was very nice and did a great job. I have used several Appliance companies in the past but Appliance 911 is the one I will call from now on. Thank you Vlad and Appliance 911!

Wow, not sure I can give these guys enough stars! I contacted Tatyana via Yelp this morning about a microwave that needed repair, Vlad showed up promptly at the arranged time the same day, and my microwave was working in short order! They only take cash and checks and I didn't have enough on me, Vlad was gracious enough to let me mail in the payment. Thank you Tatyana and Vlad!! Five stars!!

6 stars! We have called Appliance 911 at least 4 times after the first time. The 16 yr old clothes washer control board finally died and after diagnosing the issue, the repairman showed me the parts book and said that the repair would cost a lot more than a new washer. They are *honest*. So we bought a new one, that cost half the price of what the repair would have been. Then our 14 yr old wine refrigerator wasn't cooling and they repaired it for a reasonable cost. Then the refrigerator in our rental home in Orinda was leaking and Appliance 911 fixed it. Each time, they respond within *minutes* and they came out within a day or the same day.

But the best save was on 11/21/20. After calling our lame home warranty company on 10/26/20 (don't buy a home warranty plan; we are not renewing ours), they referred **another** appliance company to repair the oven in the Orinda rental home. It intermittently wasn't turning on. They came out 11/2 and the repairman said they had to return with a part. Long story short, after the 2nd visit two weeks later, the **OTHER** appliance company caused the oven to short the breaker, the microwave made the oven make popping noises, and the oven was heating even when turned off. I called the LAME company Friday 11/20 and they "couldn't" come out till 11/25, day before Thanksgiving because they have only one person who covers the entire East Bay. I called APPLIANCE 911 on Sat 11/21 and Tatyana consulted with a technician and warned me that this repair would probably be very expensive and to look into buying a new oven. The oven is a gas oven and the only residential gas ovens available these days cost $2500-4000 from specialty companies . I called Tatyana back (keep in mind **this is on the SATURDAY before Thanksgiving**) and she got Vlad out there in one hour and he repaired the oven for $462 - fixed all those electrical control issues. That's including the baseline diagnosis fee!!! APPLIANCE 911 SAVED OUR TENANTS' THANKSGIVING!! I waited a couple days to make sure the oven is working and it is. AND parts and labor are have a 90 day warranty. Do NOT hesitate to call APPLIANCE 911!!!

I had a wonderful experience with Appliance 911. My dishwasher wasn't draining. I called and left a message before they opened. I got a call back promptly. They were completely booked for the day but told me they would try to come after 6:00. If not they would come the next day. Vlad made it to my house just after 6. He fixed my dishwasher in less than a hour. Showed me how to troubleshoot it if I have the drainage problem happened again. He was the most knowledgeable repairman I have dealt with by far. I highly recommend Appliance 911 and Vlad, I will be calling them with all my repair needs from now on.
