Appliance Doctor

I have never written a review on Yelp before but after what I experienced with the repair of my Viking range I am compelled to..I would recommend the Appliance Doctor to anyone ! Please, please, please do not confuse this company with Appliance REPAIR doctor ! This unethical company has been doing business under this name and people think they are contacting Appliance Doctor but instead get these people who charge an unreasonable price and terrible customer service ..I can not say enough about Appliance Doctor ..Bennie is amazing and has a great disposition and goes above and beyond in his servicing ..he even cleaned my oven after repairing it at no additional charge ! Who does that ? They are great people to work with and I highly recommend them ..please don't confuse them with Appliance REPAIR doctor !

In just a couple of hours, Benny fixed our jammed clothes dryer, tilting under-counter dishwasher, and dysfunctional freezer ice maker. All for a very reasonable charge. Jackie at the office is friendly and very quick to respond to e-mail or phone questions. We are delighted with the scheduling process and outcomes. Definitely recommend.

Don't call these guys unless you're planning on buying new appliances as that's the vibe I got immediately. Looking to sell you new washer and dryer when it can be fixed. Charged me $120 just to say buy a new machine.

Yikes! I was in Walnut Creek today (6/25/2024) at about 1pm. The light turned yellow as I was approaching so I slowed down to stop. An Appliance Doctor van was behind me and the driver passed me at a high rate of speed and ran the red light. I was stunned! The business name was all over the van and his reckless driving could really have hurt someone. If this was the owner, I would not be inclined to do business with him/her. If it was an employee the owner may want to have a word.

Bernard was excellent. Transparent, prompt, friendly, and most importantly fixed the leak in our LG washer. Highly recommended!

I am writing to sing the praises of the one & only doctor of appliances, Bernard. We are a repeat customer from about 5 years ago & knew who we needed to contact when our dishwasher was acting up & not cleaning our dishes properly.
When I phoned, I was happy to hear Jackie's voice & knew I was in good hands.
Bernard arrived the next day & after some initial testing, he was able to diagnose the problem...it needed a water inlet valve. He ordered the part & returned in a few days to install it.
Like his previous visit in 2018, he was professional, efficient, friendly & one could tell he knew what he was doing! Very methodical & precise.
Again, I am a very happy customer & will always contact them when the need arises.
I wouldn't look anywhere else & you shouldn't either.

We have used Bernie to repair our appliances for many years have been very happy with his service. . Recently we had trouble with our washing machine. He responded same day and repaired the machine. He is an experienced appliance repair person and he will tell you if he can not work on on a particular appliance such as our built in microwave.

There aren't a lot of options these days for appliance repair in the Tri-Valley area. I chose Appliance Doctor for the location. When I called I had to leave a message and it took at least a week for them to call back, maybe longer. They charged me $120 just to look at my washing machine. I told them that's a lot but cheaper than buying a new one. When he came he told me my transmission is shot and I need to buy a new washer. $120 is a lot of money especially when it can't be fixed. Not sure I'll use them in the future.

We have used Bernard's services for several years now, and each time he came to fix our previous wash machine, a Maytag which lasted about 15 years, and again, our newer Maytag - about 5 years old, he fixed the problem, and brought back the washing machine to a good working condition.

He was always on time, within the two hours window, and each time the repair took less than an hour.

Jackie, who is managing the calls and scheduling was great in finding us a quick appointment, and, on the days when Bernard came, first time to assess the problem, second time to replace the broken parts, she called for a reminder, to confirm the appointment.

Appliance Doctor definitely deserves a five stars rating. Knock on wood, hopefully we will not need to see Bernard any time soon, but if any of our appliances will decide to take a break, we know whom we'll call immediately. That is Bernard, the Appliance Doctor himself :):)

Bernard was a pleasure to have service our appliances. He was able to reset the washer's timer panel, vacuum the dryer beyond the filter screen, and replace a door gasket on our refrigerator. He's thorough and efficient, and cleaned up after himself. We highly recommend the Appliance Doctor!
