Chosen Rooter & Plumbing was incredibly responsive when the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink broke down and began to leak. They came within two hours of our initial call and worked very hard to install a new disposal in an antiquated kitchen. Damian was the name of the plumber; he was excellent and kept us apprised of every complication and how he would address them. The price was reasonable and we highly recommend Chosen Rooter & Plumbing!

Chosen Rooter & Plumbing came to the rescue! Damien was fantastic. He arrived within the timeframe given, explained what he thought the issue might be, what course of action he'd take, and gave me a ballpark cost estimate - upfront and honest!

He kept me informed every step of the way. He explained what additional work needed to be done and clearly communicated the adjusted price before proceeding. He even took photos of our "unique" plumbing setup to keep on file in the event we had further issues and someone else needed to come back. Damien was forthright, efficient, and went above and beyond to answer my questions about hypothetical plumbing adjustments we may want to make in the future. I will definitely be calling Chosen Rooter and Plumbing (CRaP, ) for any of my plumbing needs in the future. Highly recommend!

Called to request an emergency service for a blocked sewer line from Chosen Rooter & Plumbing at 8:41am. They immediately understood my urgency (guest arriving!) and called me back by 8:50 to confirm an arrival timeframe of between 11-1 the very same day.
Received a text when my plumber was on his way, and Damien arrived at 11 on the nose!
Damien was fantastic in all aspects of service. He listened carefully while I explained the problem and showed him the drains. Communicated clearly what he suspected the problem was and what he would do about AND gave me an estimated cost range before starting work. Amazing! When the problem was not quite as easy to solve as anticipated, Damien communicated clearly what more he thought needed to be done AND how much it would cost before proceeding. Damien was courteous, clean, organized and efficient in his work. Ultimately he fixed our problem by 1pm and we paid a very reasonable price for such a short notice service. I highly recommend Damien, and Chosen Rooter & Plumbing!

Chosen Rooter and Plumbing was extremely professional and helpful with our gas leak. The technician worked very hard to find all the leaks and to stop them even though it was not easy to get to them all. Highly recommend.

Got to say, plumbing fixes are pretty hit or miss in San Francisco. Never know what kind of prices you'll be hit with... But! This company was great all the way through. Big shout out to Damian, who was the tech that did my estimate and then the service a week later.

Overall quality of service was excellent, he installed two brand new faucets (I provided) and a connector for a steam shower unit. Was supposed to be a short job, but my old faucet handles were seized up and Damian was extremely communicative and adaptive throughout. He ensured the job was done without damaging the marble sinks by using a saw to cut through the old handles.

I will be working with Damian and Chosen Rooter and Plumbing for all future jobs in SF.

Only improvement I have would be for the front end. I was under the impression the estimate was free but almost got knicked for $400 weekend diagnostic (which I wouldn't have done if it was communicated). Also, the front-end scheduled the tech for service between 8-10 am and did not arrive until 10:30 am. Again, communication from the front-end would've helped a lot in understanding their techs travel time and giving me a later window.

Five stars to Damian, will always give 5 stars for a quality job done, thanks!

I called early morning at 8am to get an emergency help, the lady said the tech would arrive between 10-12pm and I did not see anyone. I called at 12:15pm and she said he would arrive around 1pm now. On my second phone call I actually received an email confirming my appt (which I did not on the first call) which makes me assume she forgot to add me on their schedule. At the end Omar showed up on time and did a great job, He was in and out in 1 hr, an d explained what he did-he was respectful of the house and clean. I am happy. It was a few hundred dollars but at least my sink is not backing up again. My drain hose is now at the right length and is not kinked, and I got a new brass pipe!

They were prompt and quickly resolved the issue. I would recommend them for anyone with a plumbing issue.

Update - I forgot to mention in my original post that these people have stolen my property as well.

They took my diverter to go and look for a replacement unit, and then later decided they didn't want to continue the work. They did not return my diverter, nor did they keep any notes on the type of model or unit it was, making it more difficult for me to find other plumbers.

If you do work with Chosen Rooter and Plumbing, do not give them any piece. Ask them to take photos, as many as they need. They will take your property and will refuse to return it.

Stay far far away.

After the first visit, they charged us $1000 for the job requested. We saw later that nothing was different. They came a second time and again, nothing different.

I asked for a refund. Sarah on staff said that wasn't possible, and also, could I be sympathetic to their financial business needs.

The business asked for a third time to clear the situation and were a no show on that date. The owner later asked for a fourth visit to personally fix the problem himself.

The owner was a no show on the 4th visit. He sent out two team members though. They were kind and hence move this review from 1 to 2 stars.

He concluded this nightmare with an email stating "We went above and beyond to satisfy you."
