City Appliance Repair

I had an amazing experience with City Appliance Repair recently and was very impressed. I'm not an expert in appliance repair, but they're clearly appliance repair wizards. I came across them when my dryer broke down. I really hate when I can't dry my clothes, because it takes forever to dry them in the open air and often they develop unpleasant smell. I have a Samsung dryer and I know it is a higher brand, so I wanted someone who knows how to fix it. I came across City Appliance Repair noticed Samsung dryer repair is listed as one of their specialties. On their website, it's written that they show up on time and have same-day service. It sounded good, but of course I'm always skeptical until someone delivers what promises but and these guys did! They showed up within half an hour of the 2 hour scheduled window, inspected and diagnosed my dryer, and what is best, they even had the parts with them! In a matter of minutes my dryer was working like new. The whole thing took probably about 30 minutes to complete, and they were really friendly about answering my questions about my dryer. They were really upfront and transparent about everything at every step of the way, from the initial assessment to the estimated cost and final bill, and I think that's the part I appreciate the most - honesty. I always hate working with shady service people, and these guys are definitely trustworthy .They're friendly, honest, reliable, and fast workers. I really respect what they did and would recommend them to anyone.

They were able to fix our refrigerator in almost no time! And when we called to tell them that they needed to move it a few days later because it had been placed too close to our counter they came back very quickly and moved it for free!

We called City Appliance Repair and surprisingly got a same day appointment. Our washer stopped short of finishing the spin cycle and all the clothes were wet.
Leon showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly assess the problem- debris from my pet's bed and pads had clogged the hose. Leon fixed the problem and only charged us for the service fee of $95.00. What a relief that was. We had no idea it was a simple fix! Thank you Leon and thank you City Appliance Repair. Used for dishwasher repair. They were fast, with same day service, knowledgeable, and quickly able to fix the issue.

Stove wouldn't stop clicking even when the burner was off. I called in desperate to have someone come out ASAP. Omar was super helpful and trustworthy- he gave me a likely diagnosis (water leaked into burner, which might be causing a short), a suggested fix (turning off the breaker to stop the clicking and give the stove a chance to dry), and booked me an appointment for as soon as possible just in case. A day and a half later, the burner had dried, the clicking stopped, and I was able to cancel the appointment free of charge. Incredible service and support - I will ABSOLUTELY call City Appliance next time, because they showed true care for me as a customer rather than just fulfilling a request and taking my money. This is true customer service leading to long-term loyalty. Thank you Omar.

Also important to note- the price quoted to me for the visit & potential work was totally fair and in line with what other companies quoted. Give City Appliance a call if needed!

The technician was friendly and knowledgeable.
He explained the various options for fixing the dryer. He also offered a few things to keep an eye on with the washing machine which was purchased as the same time as the dryer. He explained how a few different parts might begin breaking down causing the same error message to appear and require a repair.

I will call them for any future appliance repairs.

Leon was the nicest and highly efficient man. He came over to repair my dryer, which had become insanely loud. He expediently fixed it and thus saved me from getting a new one. Highly recommend this outfit.

Two years ago the price was $85 for him to come out and not be able to fix your appliance. Now the cost is $250. Too expensive.

My 5-year-old refrigerator stopped working and City Appliance sent a repairman the next morning. Aziz diagnosed it as an issue with the fan and expedited a replacement part which thankfully came in despite today's supply chain issues. When the fridge still wasn't cooling, he returned to investigate and discovered that the vent had frozen over with ice. Aziz communicated with me every step of the way and was determined to find the issue as neither of us wanted to see a relatively new appliance in the landfill. Thank you Aziz for bringing my fridge back to life!

Dmitry was fantastic. Great service as he provided a consultative approach to a tough dryer repair. My dryer is in a tight space and we had a great conversation about the options and pros/cons of the repair. He ended up working with me on a solution and saved me from having to get a new dryer. Very knowledgeable, positive attitude and great overall experience.

Avoid! I didn't even book an appointment , and they sent a technician to our house and wanted to charge us.

Their phone operator put both me and their technician in a bad place. When I called to inquire into pricing the phone operator said $70 for the diagnostic and after I gave my address she quickly changed to $85 for the diagnostic, so I said NO THANK YOU - please cancel and DONT schedule. 4 hours later their technician came by and wanted to charge us $300. The technician seemed like a really nice guy, but he shouldn't have been sent.

I can't speak to their quality of work, which I assume is good based on their reviews, but sending a technician over to a house that never scheduled is just plain WRONG.
